I have an original Daniel Johnston I bought back in 2007, and it's great, but it doesn't fit in with what I'm collecting anymore, so I'd like to see it go to someone who'll appreciate it. I've just had it in storage for a decade, and that seems wrong - art's gotta breathe. I have the original COA, too.
THESE IMAGES DON'T DO IT JUSTICE - THE PIECE IS MUCH MORE VIBRANT, DON'T KNOW WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY CAMERA

I have two Daniel Johnston OGs (one that was featured on the cover of a magazine) so I'm curious. I think it depends on if it has some of his iconic images (duck, Casper, Captain America, eyeballs, etc.).

They are getting sold, but you never know if the person got their asking price or took less, though. And it looks like a gallery that manages a lot of his work online sells 8x11 color drawings for $2500: dirtypilot.com/search?page=2&q=daniel+johnston
(and pen drawings for $1500). I'd be happy with $2000-2100. I collect more pop surrealist stuff now, so I don't even have this one displayed, and haven't for years!
