Well to be honest i don't think any print from any artist at this price is a bargain. If your to go by his latest auction results yes it seems a few grand on the low side.

Phillips Art Auctions • New York, Hong Kong & London, by teabaggins on Aug 15, 2019 3:12:46 GMT 1, I'm loving the Nicolas Party Mezzotint, looks incredible. Not much released or available by the artist. He seems to concentrate on originals. I see his plate set is now £1000, it was previously £350. He also has a new print being released with RxArt currently. $10k. Benefit print.

Nicolas party etchings did well, not so much the other stuff (wonder if Dare will reduce their 7500 ask on the hand painted portrait since it sold for 1000 I think)

Typical example of the premium a major auction house can achieve by having the right people in the room

Way too much. I was on it and let it pass, since you can get the 3, mint and cheaper, from a set of different galleries.

Amazing result.... Just reading this from the other day, yes I know this print has risen a lot in the last couple of years but why is it such a surprise?
Iconic Hockney image, wall friendly, small size therefore easy to hang and it is SIGNED.
Yes it's an edition of 1000 but as a comparison an UNSIGNED Banksy Girl With Balloon edition of 600 sells for double this.
