ROBBIE Williams has paid a graffiti artist ยฃ30,000 for a controversial painting of the Nativity scene.
It shows Mary and Joseph blocked from getting to Bethlehem by a graffiti wall โ mimicking the Israeli barrier round the Palestinian territories.
Robbie spotted the painting by art hoaxer Banksy in a London gallery and bought it for his Chelsea home.
Other stars who snapped up 30-year-old Banksyโs work include Jamie Oliver and Damon Albarn.
Earlier this year he sneaked a picture of a caveman with a shopping trolley into the British Museum.

I was a bit short of change unfortunately so missed out that time!

When I went to crude oils I asked if any were still on sale - they said only the enormous Hopper pastiche at the back. Which was ยฃ50,000 if I remember rightly. Which is still probably a good bargain if you happen to have ยฃ50,000 knocking about to spend. As opposed to ยฃ50.

Even way back in christmas 2005 you weren't going to pick up a Banksy canvas like that for 3 grand.
The 'Flower Thrower' canvases were ยฃ7,500 for comparison.... and they were a stenciled edition of 25.

The original mural was removed in 2014 after being repeatedly vandalised. Williamsโs version of the artwork is a painting on canvas from 2005, estimated to be worth ยฃ2.5m to ยฃ3.5m.
