Visit NEW YORK ๐บ๐ฒ Street Art, Galleries, Events, by Cardiff on Jun 9, 2010 17:43:41 GMT 1, Heading to NYC for a long weekend w/the better half. We're going to Brooklynite tomorrow for the Denning/Walker opening and are planning to hit up โThe New Grand Tourโ (dying to see the Parla pieces). Does anyone have any other gallery suggestions? I thought there was a recent thread on this, but couldn't find anything.
Many thanks!

Visit NEW YORK ๐บ๐ฒ Street Art, Galleries, Events, by Heavyconsumer on Sept 30, 2010 16:46:13 GMT 1, Not a Warhol fan myself and I enjoyed the Met' far more than MOMA. All down to personal taste of course though.
Some of my old favourite bites when I lived in NYC, in no particular order:
pastrami or corned beef on rye at Katz Deli (Downtown Manhattan) sashimi at Yama (40 Carmine St, Downtown Manhattan) steak at Peter Luger (Brooklyn) som tum (authentic green papaya salad) at family restaurant (W49th St - corner of 9th Ave - Midtown Manhattan) Mussles and fries and a nice beer at Vol De Nuit (near W4th St subway, Downtown Manhattan)
Ava used to be a nice roof-top bar near Time Sq with great views and good cocktails.
Check out Time Out for reviews of bars and eateries among other things newyork.timeout.com/
RYCA's right about Central Park, it's a great spot if the weather's OK and well worth a couple of hours to walk around. Have a great trip!
