Visit NEW YORK πΊπ² Street Art, Galleries, Events, by vinzc on Oct 12, 2013 19:19:17 GMT 1, In addition to the above (5 point, welling, etc) a couple not as popular attractions on the streets, should you find yourself nearby.
566 Johnson street. In bushwick...some friends (Robots will Kill) do a fair amount of painting over there. Nice walk (with some stuff in between) from the Bogart stop off the L train.
Between Williamsburg and greenpoint, you can find some nice classic Failes and Basts (typical white/black stencils) amongst other artists sprinkled about.
Either in the evening or early morning, can see a fair amount of old kenny scharfs on metal shop gates in the lower east side and along bowery (and some old aboves). keep your eyes open for a couple nick walkers on the wall. Also, if in soho, see the remnants of historic 11 spring (more on the Bowery side)
That houston wall off bowery (across from whole foods basically). Also some stuff on houston and 1st ave (changes every couple months).
In dumbo, some nice murals: dal, faith, shep, yes. (Look up dumbo arts fair or something). By the water under manhattan bridge: Chris RWK, JMR, skewville.
Might be nice to walk the highline in Chelsea if you find yourself taking in a couple galleries (not sure if JRs are still there).
Just a couple smaller suggestions should you be in the neighborhood.

Dread natty those old pics reminded me of my first trip to New York back in the early 80's two I think. Was staying over in Brooklyn and used to get the train over to go to the Javits Ctre
Used to shit my self on the way home and it was to a reasonable area. New York was crazy then very intimidating for a first time visitor.....very scary but must say nothing happened so been going back ever since
