Damien Hirst • The Currency Unique Prints, by Charlie Bronson on Jan 7, 2023 23:01:10 GMT 1, Can’t see this being assessed on a case by case basis - prints were either delivered in mint condition, or they were delivered damaged. I hope you’re right. Reason I asked was because of the response by Heni via email, in which they said, we will let you know how this will be dealt with depending on the extent of the damage. Perhaps they meant how many were damaged as opposed to what type of damage. Who knows.

Good job, Heni! any idea whether they intend to reprint your print, or just replace with another print!?

Damien Hirst • The Currency Unique Prints, by Acme Thunderer on Jan 10, 2023 11:48:32 GMT 1, I hope people are prepared for some of the replacement batch to arrive damaged as the paper has to be the same. I have a feeling this will be a long drawn out process.
On the bright side, it will make the print rarer as Heni won’t produce anything on paper this big again.

Damien Hirst • The Currency Unique Prints, by reg on Jan 10, 2023 22:58:18 GMT 1, The faults have zero to do with the paper quality and everything about the weak tube at the top and poor capping. Both have been consistent with the faults reported and the paper is nothing to do with it.
I've shipped many prints on a lot thinner paper and had no problems.

Both have been consistent with the faults reported and the paper is nothing to do with it. I've shipped many prints on a lot thinner paper and had no problems. Virtually all of the damage I’ve seen is down to the flimsy/weaker paper which has easily creased the ends when it has repeatedly slid ‘up and down’ inside the tube. As it was not correctly packaged, it was able to move around more freely inside the tube. It is this combination that resulted in the damage.
Agree the metal cap was a poor choice, but this wasn’t the reason for the ends of the prints being creased as the cap was still attached in the majority of cases.

Damien Hirst • The Currency Unique Prints, by jamo on Jan 10, 2023 23:41:49 GMT 1, It’s simple. The print and brown paper were freely moving up and down in the tube, damaging the ends. Sure the tube and caps were flimsy but from my experience, it was the way they were packed that caused the damage. Certainly not the courier. Thicker paper may have helped but would probably still have been dinked at the ends…

Damien Hirst • The Currency Unique Prints, by Acme Thunderer on Jan 11, 2023 21:54:00 GMT 1, I have one of these prints available. Mint condition. London based. £6K firm. Thanks. Happy for the buyer to inspect before purchase. Dimensions: 100 x 150 cm. DM if interested. As you have only just joined the forum to flip the print, I don’t feel too bad commenting on this. People must seriously need their head testing if they are willing to pay £6k for a print that only just cost £1k. There will be plenty more for sale once the replacements start to arrive. It is only worth the same price as the NFT which is around £3.5k. GLWTS if you find someone willing to pay over the odds for this.

I am genuinely more interested in that existing members don’t get ripped off than ‘new members‘ coming to flip.

Is this the suggestion you speak of? 'It is only worth the same price as the NFT which is around £3.5k'
An NFT to a physical print. Not even comparative is it?

What's the correlation between the price of this print and the price of the Currency NFT? Or have you simply decided they are worth £3.5k? They are not selling for £10k / £8 / £6k. I’ve only seen one person sell one to a gallery for £4k. There are people who are trying to inflate prices but there isn’t a long queue of people wanting to buy at unrealistic prices.
NFT was the utility to buy for many, so use this as a baseline and not the price a Currency original. Let’s use common sense rather than wishful thinking.
