There's even an insinuation in a post here that by posting somebody else's retweets they could possibly be supporting Russia. This tribal stuff is what makes everything so dangerous. People are scared to speak out because they will be piled in on. Pointing out that Ukraine is a stinking, corrupt cesspit with a leader that has continued to avoid sitting down for peace talks, or to find ways to negotiate, isn't the same as supporting Russia. It's laughable. But Zelensky isn't some kind of God or paragon of virtue either. Whilst people globally are being told they have to struggle through, their governments are funneling money, weapons and resources into Ukraine. That is insane and if you don't want to question that then something is seriously up. Ultimately, the average civilians will be the ones to suffer - as always in these bullshit situations. That's why these pieces crack me up. It's absolutely hilarious seeing people masturbate themselves into a frenzy over some stencils. Like pretty much everything Banksy, it is weak and comes with hype and PR which is usually a substitution for a message of any real weight or depth. Re: masturbation comment. Keep in mind a couple of things : 1. this started as a Banksy forum, so what do you expect? and, 2. many people on here have a good part of their art investments tied up in Banksy art - worth which somewhat depends on his ability/choice to continue with public installations. Is any art buyer that altruistic that they are, or should not, care at all about the value of any of their art purchases, as one of many many other reasons regarding said art? Also, let us be clear, I have no intention of trying to "latch on" or "manipulate". These are exactly the things that I am against and which is what I partly address in an earlier message re. some retweets: saying one side is bad doesn't automatically mean you support the other side. It's tribal, it is tedious and it is deadly. Everyone involved in this, on a political level at least, is disingenuous, dangerous and motivated by something other than democracy and freedom.

What I find hilarious is when people fawn over Banksy like he's a god and then don't want to have anything more than a secondary school style conversation over the politics involved. You guys know I'm not a big Banksy fan anymore since the fraud , but I can admit if a piece by the collective is good and well executed. Those aren't though.
It's maybe a lot of works, but quality over quantity .
If he'd gone out there, done a full size sideview of a tank rolling over rubble with a few rats sticking out the portholes and a big "Z"on the side with a big Banksy tag across that, it would have said more and had more impact than this entire set.
