R.I.P TREVORM , by Midfield General on Nov 27, 2022 13:47:03 GMT 1, Such sad sad news, Trev was always a true gentleman on the occasions I met him, like many have already said you'd meet him to do a deal and hours later you'd have made no real progress but it really didn't matter because he was such a lovely man to talk to.
He even forgave me for what became biscuit gate years ago
He will be sorely missed
Rest in peace

R.I.P TREVORM , by Martin M on Nov 28, 2022 21:59:43 GMT 1, It's with great sadness I write this post to inform you that we have sadly lost a good friend and longstanding forum member and all round top bloke! Most of you would have known him on here as Trevorm but to some of us he was good old Trev. Sadly Trev lost his battle with cancer last week after fighting Leukemia courageously for over a year. Trev was truly the best of people and those who knew him will back me in saying what a great guy he was. He contributed massively to this community for well over a decade with his upbeat positive attitude, knowledge and I must say he loved an art deal and a biscuit! I have decided to hold a raffle in Trev's memory to raise some funds for Cancer Research UK. I first met him trying to buy a Banksy print many moons ago so it seems fitting to offer up some of my Banksy goodies for somebody to win. I have set up a JustGiving page, the link is posted below. www.justgiving.com/fundraising/trevorm-artIn addition to the Banksy bundle I'm also giving the lucky raffle winner a years supply of McVities Hobnobs (its what Trev would have wanted!). Ok, so here is the 'deal'. I understand its tough times for people so please only give what you can afford to donate. This is about helping an important charity in memory of a great guy....please no negative comments on this thread. To be clear, the JustGiving link is open to those that wish to just donate to the charity but I have added the raffle as I think its in the spirit of what my mate would have liked. If you wish to just donate there is no need to put your name. If you wish to enter the raffle please make your donation shall we say £5 an 'entry' but add your name, email and forum name to the JustGiving donation info section with your donation. Feel free to give more if the charity means more to you or if you can. The size of donation WILL NOT effect the outcome of the raffle. I'm running the fundraiser until the end of Jan '23 and the winner will be selected in the first week of Feb '23. This is my first attempt at this so let's hope it works and raise some funds for this amazing charity. I will select the lucky winner at random....method to be confirmed and transparent (no funny business). I will post the winner on here and contact them directly to make arrangements. So here is the bundle: Banksy Di-Face Tenner (Genuine) Banksy Box Set (Walled Off Hotel receipt) Banksy Pallestine poster (Walled Off Hotel receipt) Banksy Peckham Rock (British Museum receipt) Banksy Forgive Us Our Trespassing poster (Don't panic double sided, folded) Banksy Walled Off Hotel T-Shirt and Pearly Gates postcard (Bought direct by me at the hotel in the first week it opened) McVities Hobnobs (more than you can get through!) Good luck and thanks in advance to all that donate from me (and Trev) Lovely gesture Pidge! Lost my mum in 2020 to this horrible disease. RIP Trevorn, always read his posts.

R.I.P TREVORM , by Dice on Nov 28, 2022 23:27:32 GMT 1, Very sad to hear this news. I met Trev a few times and even had the pleasure of tea and a biscuit at his house once. I bought my CYW from him in fact and in a very strange twist of events when I had to sell it a couple of years later he bought it back off me, said he missed it too much, ha! A great guy and thanks Pidge for setting up this raffle for a wonderful cause. Thoughts with his family and we will miss his contributions to this forum.

R.I.P TREVORM , by christoffero on Dec 1, 2022 10:31:06 GMT 1, One of the names that sticks in my mind from posts over the years. Never had the good fortune to meet personally unfortunately. Sounds like we've lost a lovely man.
Heartfelt condolences to all involved and thanks pidge for doing this in his memory.
I wonder if it can be kept up at the top somehow so that plenty more people see it and are hopefully able to consider contributing to the exceptionally worthy cause.
Love and best wishes everyone.

R.I.P TREVORM , by Love Is In The Air on Dec 1, 2022 10:55:49 GMT 1, I have just donated and by mentioning that here it will push this thread to the top again to hopefully raise a bit more.
Someone spoke on her about their correspondence with Trev which made me go back through some old texts we had sent. Negotiations with Trev were never a fraught business but could be drawn out over weeks and humour was guaranteed. At one stage of buying a print from him he would often say "I'll hold onto it I think" which meant you were too low.....raising the offer would then get you something back like "Isn't this fun!" or in one case for me "You need the rat" following by some rat emojis and a third text saying simply R A T I got the print in the end and it still hangs in my study where it is likely to stay a good while now to remind me of the lovely man.
Our friendship started when he read on the forum some years back I was a big Francis Bacon fan and he got in touch as he had two prints he had picked up as part of a large deal....they were framed and he didn't want them so he was literally giving them away to a good home. He reluctantly let me give him £100 when we met up but was just happy they were going to a good home.
Anyway, the raffle is a great idea and for a great cause, so please keep giving if you can. RIP Trev and do keep adding to the anecdotes as I love reading them and sure others do too. Cheers

R.I.P TREVORM , by LonelyFarmer on Dec 3, 2022 14:54:26 GMT 1, This is sad but unfortunately expected news.
Trevor was more than a great friend and came here often to visit, he always brought treats and gifts for my Stafford Pip (whom i lost in june 21) and played for hours with him, Trevor cried when i told him Pip had gone. He would also go to the farm here to see the cattle, and naturally everyone who met him there is sad at his passing. Trevor was the kindest and most lovely man you could meet he really was, the world is worse off without him. Rest easy Trevor, and lay off those bloody pickled walnuts. we miss you in our lives. Thanks to Pidge for mentioning this👍🏻.
