Ai weiwei then signed the middle. Both invisible to the eye and only under UV light. Cool piece and for a good cause.
I remember someone on here framed a picture with uv light in the frame, this could work for this print.

I think I will keep it on a wall that has nothing else on it, so it really "pops". Okay, maybe I will put a UV flashlight on top of the frame or clicked to the side of it. I am excited for this. Great Ai-dea (do you see what I did there? If not, UV flashlight...).

I was thinking I bought a cheap printing paper signed by Ai Weiwei - and only realised later that it has his hands (with his middle finger!!) on it as well. Also, the quality of the paper is much better, a sturdy piece of A4 paper. But it just looks fantastic, and the thoughts behind it make this one of the best purchases ever. It is really a proper Ai Weiwei edition, signed by the man himself!

Any idea on value of these? Thereโs one on eBay but not sure if itโs overpricedโฆ I don't think this is in high demand as not many people enjoy looking at a piece of white paper. I saw one on Catawiki which sold for 233โฌ. And I guess he did a few hundreds of these. |

I am trying it a couple of ways and trying to make it not look like garbage. I bought a relatively inexpensive grow light (which works, but looks like garbage) to do this and I am trying to take it apart and reassemble it with an armature that overhangs the top like a proper brass museum light. Also, trying a couple different matting schemes.

I don't think that the gallery has or will disclose final numbers. My guess (no hard facts to support this) is that not that many were made.
If this is any indication of edition size, there is only one for sale on Artsy: its framed and the gallery thinks the right price is about 3,5k
