Sotheby's gave him a loan of $10 million as he had art in their auction.
They gave the art back to him to sell privately but that was the last time they saw him

They exploited him in his final years and yes, signing blanks and even works not belonging to Dali became the norm. |

Not to say that these are fake, but I would caution those interested to do their research and due diligence especially with Dali's prints.
