Pejac - New show - NYC, by Deleted on Nov 13, 2023 7:26:49 GMT 1, There should be enough exhibition posters available at an exhibition for 0-20 euros and signed ones for 10-100 euros, depending on the artist. A signed show poster does not destroy the market price, unless the artist has already cheated on the market price and his prices from the ground up. I completely agree with Leotard. With other artists, people are given small giveaways (stickers, postcards, tshirt etc.) as a thank you for coming, so you recognise the appreciation for the fan/customer. I don't use these things 95% of the time, but I register it and am happy that the artist is thinking of his fans who may never have bought anything before. Fans help to make an artist great, collectors are the second part. An artist without fans who post like crazy on Insta and show their friends their art will not survive in the long run.

Pejac - New show - NYC, by artlike on Nov 13, 2023 9:22:00 GMT 1, Didn't mean to cause a furore asking for a poster. I've no idea if there were many unsigned also available for free. Only saw on insta the 50 signed.
Agree that fans are most important. Can't say whether that's how they see it!
Will be very interesting to see what is next in any case

Pejac - New show - NYC, by Viennese on Nov 13, 2023 18:38:31 GMT 1, I spoke to someone at the show about what a shame it is that there is no print or anything to take back home and received a poster. I donโt know their general policy around it but you should definitely ask when you go. Iโm sure they have some stacked there. It is not as good as the Berlin show poster but it is a nice memento.

I was there yesterday, there was a big pile of them, along with a stack of sharpies, so I guess there are more to be given out (I also got asked if i was 'friends with the artist' on the way in, so perhaps that is key.. I'm not, and nor did I ask for a poster)
Pretty impressive show none the less though, and I appreciated the guided tour.

Pejac - New show - NYC, by Fluffy Pillow on Nov 13, 2023 22:50:33 GMT 1, Speaking with Martin there were some urban ideas but the right wall specifics/parameters were not available or discovered.
It was somewhat disappointing to break from "tradition" of an edition release and postcard. Felt that Hope (gold peace flag with bird on branch) would have made a great mid-sized print, especially with the global turmoil.
With the Sweet United (USA honeycomb and bees) in this round I wonder if Apnea wasn't meant for NYC but delayed (Covid restrictions).. thus, why we received a supersized treat in Berlin.
Nonetheless, stunning variety of works and the location surely has greater opportunity of public exposure. BIG thanks to Martin as well for staying busy, bouncing about and being a gracious host.

Pejac - New show - NYC, by nottyplay1 on Nov 14, 2023 0:24:14 GMT 1, Survey says only 50 were signed and anyone telling you different also has the Brooklyn bridge for sale at a discount just for black Friday...not my words but straight from source. I found out by asking on site.

Pejac - New show - NYC, by aj123 on Nov 15, 2023 0:50:53 GMT 1, Unsigned posters available while they last! Doesnโt look promising for any additional signed posters, unless he signed them before heading home and theyโre holding them back. Looks like the signed version will be a real rarity. Wrecked that I missed them!

Wrecked that I missed them! That WAS the release! Signed edition of 50. I thought it might be a bigger release at a lower price point. In the end it was a smaller release for free!
So, who got one?

Pejac - New show - NYC, by Cardiff on Nov 17, 2023 14:48:19 GMT 1, Had a chance to pop in this week and really enjoyed the show. This was my first time seeing Pejac's work in person and I thoroughly enjoyed the art, venue, and people (Kristin was a great guide).
As it relates to the work...
I felt like the oils were stunning...Under Pressure and Peak were much stronger in person than what I saw in the preview and pics (Peak had so much depth and 3 dimensionality) and Renaissance and Deer Hunter were amazing...my two favorite pieces in the show. Social Warming didn't do that much for me...actually made me anxious thinking about how long it must have taken to paint thousands of tiny people. Zombies was very cool and connecting it to Dali (elephants) added a level of interest that I missed on first pass...made me think of the works on wood from Venice and how great they must be in person. I also felt the Passepartout series (chunks of melting ice over charcoal works) were much larger and more interesting than what I felt the preview represented.
The surprise work to me that totally overdelivered what I had seen in pics was Hope (flag piece). The gold leaf finish was amazing and constantly changing depending on angle and lighting and the work had that perfect balance of "the world is falling apart and tattered" while also injecting some hopefulness with the bird. The bee piece was very cool and clever but took me back to that Black Mirror episode w robotic bees which freaked me out.
My least favorite works were the Fin series on palettes. I liked that they displayed them horizontally and they were beautiful, but felt like the previous "vortex" palette pieces that I'd seen were significantly more interesting.
Full disclosure, I bought my first Pejac work from this show. I'm not a fanboy, but walked away really impressed and hopeful for a great career for such a talented and thought provoking artist.

A great synopsis of the show and pieces Cardiff. My favourite pieces were both the Zombies and Hope and only wish my wallet would stretch to one of these without causing a divorce! Would love to know which one you went for, but understand you may not want to divulge.
All the best

I stored it away and just took it out to get to the framer and saw the signature. It looks printed so I thought it wasnโt signed. I received mine at the VIP opening.
