I have a lovely painting from Tom French (gone way too soon) that I'd like to give in good hands. I enjoyed the work for a long time but now missing wallspace.
One of his typical black & white works with stunning details. Size is 70 x 50 cm and the canvas is mounted to a black frame and sealed on the back.
Meeting in Europe and worldwide shipping possible.
If there's someone taking care of his works and better to approach them please let me know.

You might want to put a 'ballpark' price on this. Before seeing this, I was not aware of Tom French (I live in a cave apparently). This is my favorite thing I have ever seen on UAA. I assume I can't afford it and I expect others might too. My personal opinion is that you should never sell this. It is that good. There are so many sales auctions that I don't understand how people aren't chiming in here (I call it the P/I ratio - Price to Interest). Only one person chimed in here before me. To my eyes, this should be in a museum. Lovely bit/bob you have here.

For Sale- Tom French OG on canvas, by mandem on Jan 31, 2024 19:42:42 GMT 1, I owned a Tom French canvas for several years, it belw me away at London Art Fair - thought it was a Micallef at first.
I unfortunately had to sell it when Covid hit and income dropped. Posting to show it, but also as a guide for price; this sold for c.ยฃ2000 - slightly larger than OP's one.
Such a talent, and so sad that he passed so young.

I already learnt that Tom's work is enjoyed and appreciated by a lot here and that's really nice to see.
The piece was bought in 2013 directly after discovering it at an art fair in Munich and the details amaze me ever since.
But have to find out more about potential pricing as there are not much references around. Was also advised to check with Unit London as they are in contact with his family.
Will provide an update here asap.

Many thanks for your words Jules. Definitely not an easy decision to try to sell this but I rather know this piece in good hands than not having the adequate space at home to enjoy it by myself and store it somewhere. Would be fantastic to see it in a museum

This is a stunning piece! I was lucky enough to get an original from Tom French when he did the art of a postcard exhibition. GLWTS
