As a person who isn't interested in this image or paying $3000 for a print, I'm wondering what aspects make this drop exciting? Is it the image itself? The gold leaf? I'm not trolling, just trying to understand why this drop might be popular. |

This hand finished phrase opend up this discussion which normally would never have happened. Simply because it's not something that has any sort of meat for speculation. Some people are trying to morph this into a conspiracy theorist thread of some sort. Artists sign their prints. They don't pay someone else to imitate/counterfeit their signature, so that they save the time doing so. Most of the time, it's the only moment an artist touches the print sold under his name. I've been collecting prints for nearly 20 years. To suggest the artist's signature was done by someone else is ridiculous. AcmeThunderer got in your head me thinks. |

Although the others work. I actually like the first image the most but I have my own interpretation of it which is different to the artists.
I like that there a multiple versions, not just colours of the same print, wich together add up to tell the story. I really like that a big name artist has split the up the prices, so that someone like me can afford to buy, not just the big spenders. But also at the starting price its price is not a blocker for even the most modest collectors. I say collectors as we are all very lucky to afford this hobby.
id like to see more artists do the same. I loved the days we didn’t have to sell a kidney to get a picture

Yes, we're all definitely very lucky to even think of $167 as affordable in a time where so many don't even have the luxury of thinking about home decor. |

You’ve made it big once you don’t do your own hand finishing. Jeff Koons doesn’t even paint his own stuff anymore.. he just touches it up at the end..
