There's been a print release by Pejac?

Print? Yes. There is a print. A bad one. Actually, a bad one thousand. More of a Xerox than anything.

Release? Unclear. Well, they tried. Still working on it. Ultimately it will be an NFT that you can exchange for something hand finished by Damien Hirst.

Hey all! 

We knew that the popularity of our collaboration with Pejac made it likely that there would be attempts to jump the queue with bots. We’d put in a number of extra measures and steps on our site to mitigate this. However, when the first drop went live this morning, we noticed that there were some bots that were able to find their way around these measures. As a result, a number of the orders that came through were placed by bots. We apologise for this — this is among the most in-demand editions we’ve ever launched, and the approach used to avoid the precautions we’d put in was one that we’d never come across before.

We’re committed to getting all the artwork we sell into the hands of genuine collectors, rather than those who want to resell for profit. To ensure that is the case for this release here’s what we’re going to do:

- The seven remaining drops will be made available in a series of randomised draws. This enables us to manually review and exclude anyone using a bot or who we believe is a flipper. Everyone else who enters the draw will have an equal chance of getting a print.
- We have cancelled all of the orders placed by bots this morning. As a result, 20 prints from this morning’s drop are still available. They will also be available in a randomised draw, which is now open. Enter today before 18:00 UK time on the drop page: avantarte.com/products/pejac-hope-release-1

The remaining seven drops will go live at the previously published times. The draw for each will open the moment that they go live, and remain open until the next drop goes live. The draw for the final drop (drop 8) will remain open for 24 hours.

Why didn’t we use draws to begin with?

This release is chronological by design, building from print 1 through to print 1000 over the course of a week. We wanted to pair this with a first come first served mechanic that was similarly chronological in nature, and believed the measures we put in place would mitigate the risk of bots. Unfortunately we got this wrong, but are confident that the solution of making subsequent drops available by draw will result in the fairest possible outcome.

Does the seller of the Nina Chanel print count as a flipper that would get flagged and removed when they sell after the 2 year no-resale agreement? Asking for a friend. Order #29727 June 21, 2023.

Must say the images themselves dont work for me
But each to their own , perhaps the final print which completes the image works if you appreciate the stule

But the rest feels like a gimmick

I timed edition would sold minimum 2000 prints , minimum…

How far through this series do you think you have to get before the image you’re buying approximates to the original vision of the artist? Perhaps 626-750 and 751-875 get you there. 501-625 is a stretch. Then, for me, everything below 500 doesn’t make sense as a standalone piece.
