Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by ck1 on Jul 6, 2024 3:17:34 GMT 1, I do not think driving for clarity is misplaced. I am happy there are people who are bringing up issues and looking out for buyers on this forum. Thanks acme. Really donโt understand the vitriol here lately. Avant Arte has always been very responsive here so asking the question and expecting an answer is reasonable.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by fordwd on Jul 6, 2024 6:53:26 GMT 1, I have been out of the scene for a while and not sure how the demand for Pejac pieces are these days.
Do you guys reckon it will be the button smashing, site crashing, general chaos of drops a couple of years ago. Or do you reckon picking up the editions, especially the ones with 120 prints, will be manageable?

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by lukas01 on Jul 6, 2024 6:54:50 GMT 1, What will the cost of shipping to Europe be? Does anyone know this detail? You can find shipping information if you expand section 4 โPayments, Policies and Shippingโ once youโve clicked through to view a specific edition. Sounds like they ship in an AA crate, which I have reused for storage of a few prints, but it makes it a bit costly. ยฃ221+taxes stings a bit when hoping for one of the cheaper prints and shipping to Oz
Total โฌ267 including VAT and shipping, I consider it a fair purchase price for the print in question.
Avantarte.com has created a specific crate for shipping prints/silkscreens.
We are waiting for July 15th. Will the sale be at 11:00 Milan? Thank you.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by whob1 on Jul 6, 2024 7:56:35 GMT 1, Regarding HF. One thing is for sureโฆthe standards of ยซHFยป in This release and many others are very very low. Its a mass produced print from a ยซfragmentedยป canvas, digitally done. They can call it ยซuniqueยป and HF as well ofc. I expected more from a release from Pejac and AA, as it is a massiv collab.

I'm confident we have the answer no? The Hand-Finished Goldleaf is applied by a master guilder overseen by the artist. Making them "Hand finished Pejac Prints", or "Hand Finished prints by Pejac", we can argue about semantics all day. But the answer is the same, the gold leaf is applied by a Master Guilder, of which Pejac ain't. Knowing how meticulous and driven he is in his work, I trust his decision in this. I doubt very much that AA had a say in it.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by its all about me on Jul 6, 2024 9:13:29 GMT 1, Yeah, although a single person putting gold leaf on 1,000 small figures sound like a gargantuan task, regardless of if it's Pejac or someone else. He had a one month residency at the printers so it gives the impression he would have time to do it. I was just thinking about the maths here.. .
Say he worked for 4 weeks and 5 days per week. That's basically, 250 per week and so 50 per day. That's quite a lot to get through. I can't imagine you can rush the application of gold leaf.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by its all about me on Jul 6, 2024 9:19:59 GMT 1, There is as much work going in print #1 till #8** until the "hope" shows up. Only difference between #1 and #8** is the ammount of ink the inkjet is consuming. But that's not true. You put number 1 and 8 side by side and they will look remarkably different. Number 8 will have 21 more figures in it for a start.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by its all about me on Jul 6, 2024 9:36:36 GMT 1, I was thinking about the final 250 in the series. What do people think of the word 'hope'? I don't like it, to be honest, especially as it seems to be placed in amongst the figures. It seems a bit incongruous to me and detracts from the 3D effect of the figures. Not just the word but also the flatness of the word and the placement of the word itself. Seems odd.

My impression also was that Pejac created 1 work, and the prints capture that process. So, just like you say, after adding a few figures (3?) a photo would have been made which then is the basis for the print, or, maybe, which is the print?!

Is it how everyone became like sheep during covid? Just did what they were told by dishonest governments without any critical thinking and all ended up in a giant crevice (leaving HOPE behind?)?

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by Londown 01 on Jul 6, 2024 11:24:15 GMT 1, So, only print #1000 will be a representation of the actual, finished artwork then!?
Will it be extra valuable because of its unique status in the series? If so, do you think it will just end up in the general sale, given to VIP or kept by Pejac?

I would suggest it is representing how people are at risk of falling but with each other's help we can all succeed in life; hence the hope.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by J0NNY on Jul 6, 2024 11:33:15 GMT 1, I was thinking about the final 250 in the series. What do people think of the word 'hope'? I don't like it, to be honest, especially as it seems to be placed in amongst the figures. It seems a bit incongruous to me and detracts from the 3D effect of the figures. Not just the word but also the flatness of the word and the placement of the word itself. Seems odd. I think that it works better if you are planning to display the triptych to be honest. On its own it loses the context.
I would really like one of the first run as I think the minimal look would suit my home better.
If Avant Arte and Pejac really wanted to do something special have missed a good opportunity to make the work using 1000 people with the first having only one figure, the second in the edition having two all the way up to the 1000th having 1000 figures. Then charge one price say $750 but you do not know edition number you have purchase until they show up.
