The point about fakes being different to reproductions will fall on deaf ears as I've tried to point out on a previous version of this thread. You have your opinions and you can have as many emails from PC as you want but you have a gallery owner here telling you WCP makes no difference to the market and you continue to believe what you believe.

But please don't belittle people for wanting these images on their wall dude... That's dictatorship and very very bad. Just smile and be happy that Banksy is so popular and prices of your personal prints continue to rise so you can snear at us peasants that didn't get onboard quick enough... Or didn't happen to be brown nosing the staff at POW.

I'm pretty sure in a dictatorship those who make the rules (anti wcp?) would have absolute power therefore force others to have a moral code... If in fact you're feeling belittled that's more likely guilt.

Well of course it's too late as this is probably the most active thread on the whole forum at the moment.

I have yet to see anyone on either side of the debate change their views due to what they have heard here. We're just going round and round in circles, exactly like the last WCP thread.

This free publicity has not hurt WCP at all. I'm sure if we found out that he was channelling his profits into funding a terrorist cell in London then that would be a different story but until then his reputation has not been hurt at all by anything that anyone on either side of the debate is saying here.

Like I said, Banksy can't do anything about it legally without revealing his identity. Just because his anonymity is more important to him than enforcing his copyrights, that doesn't show a lack of caring. 

Personally, I don't think people on here are all that bothered by WCP prints in and of themselves. Most of us think it's unethical to steal something that doesn't belong to you and sell it for a profit. If you ask, we'll tell you that.

I think people get annoyed when it appears someone is being dishonest about their motives. Like when they say Banksy doesn't care so it's ok (despite all evidence pointing to the contrary). It seems like the real reason they think it's ok to steal is so that they can have a pretty picture on their wall.

That said, it also could just be a bit of trolling. Some people like to post stupid things just to get a response. If that's their angle, then good job.

That may as be Ambo but I do hope that the thread is read as many of the miss truths about these prints are being highlighted. Banksy does not mind, it's good promotion for him, people at POW are behind it. But this is about all fakes that should not be allowed on here.this is not ebay.
Happmeal you want threads full of fakes on here really...not just about Banksy's includes strett pieces that are fake we have seen a few of those.
I am really astounded that these are supported on here. Not that they exist etc just that people support them but you also must remember that they watch this forum and they have pals and members who place these supportive comments...people with vested interests etc

Agreed amboguy. WCP is the only one who is making a mirror image of the original print, same size deckled edges on trolleys, etc, etc. Someone mentioned one a previous wcp thread that originally this guy started selling these on a market stall without the banksy copy stamp on in London then moved onto ebay. So I wonder how many people are putting forward these as legit backdoor prints trying to command 600 pound plus on ebay when they are wcp back in the day before he started with ebay. Not good. Banksy canvas art from a shop in Bolton I can live with this I cannot.

Well said. It's not really about Banksy or WCP, it's about personal ethics and the ethics of this community, which is fundamentally what this board is. Personally I blame the parents.
