DFace Street Improvement Prints, by snakes on May 28, 2008 20:04:04 GMT 1, ps. xmas when taking photos of your framed prints turn off the flash as it only causes reflection. You should find out that they then come out much better and if there is any loss of colour due to lack of flash you can then enhance it in photoshop or i-photo.

If you need to use the flash indoors take take pictures of framed prints at an angle and then the glare is reduced that way too

DFace Street Improvement Prints, by killerkellah on May 28, 2008 20:49:00 GMT 1, the only reason people are buying Dface now is because they are hoping prices will rocket after his Autumn show.
i cant see any other reason, do a fifties american pastiche poster once, twice maybe, but five of the f**kers!!
hardly a surprise from the man who charges ยฃ150 a pop to authenticate work.

As far as I'm concerned anyone who uses the word 'hater' should be gassed.
It's a toe-curlingly naff, Americanized, way of dismissing anyone who dislikes something - without actually putting some substance behind your position.

DFace Street Improvement Prints, by instinct on May 28, 2008 22:23:00 GMT 1, i think these prints rock. granted i dont see major short term money in them (although all signs pointed to big ยฃ gains just after SI 3 release). however i will enjoy looking at all five of them for the next ? years and do in the end expect to see good ยฃ gains, especially for a matching number set. the reason being that i think they are the least offensive/most pop (family friendly) dface prints to date. personally i like dface investigation of the street improv idea... so he did them two years ago... who cares??? not me! further to this the quality of the print is as good as it gets! so you guys dont like them... it takes all sorts! ;-)

Anything else you want to gas me for? I also use the word sick to mean good, with very little irony, so you might want to crack out the cyanide now. Hater.

DFace Street Improvement Prints, by Avian Security on May 28, 2008 22:43:58 GMT 1, This print set just doesn't deserve some of the vitriol it's getting. Granted these pictures aren't going to make you see God or have an orgasm when you look at them, but they weren't really intended to were they? They're a visual gag, like most of D*Face's work. They're just an irreverent bit of fun and they're not pretending to be anything else, so why expect more? And more to the point, what gain is there to be had from slating them? This is my real gripe I suppose. Armchair critics. The superior attitude and haughty tone some people take when judging other people's efforts, when 99% of them are 100% lacking in any talent themselves. It's just a little tiresome and pointless, and invariably, depressingly negative. all that effort expended ripping into someone, when the same effort could have gone into looking for stuff you actually like, and telling people about that instead. That's what I mean by hater. Hater = critic. Later hater xx

I think for a D*Face fan the full set would be a great thing to have.

thats better mate, much better than telling people to shut the f**k up, as in your earlier post.
i like the visual gag, as you so describe it, but I dont like the repetitive nature of the work and the ยฃ200 price tag. id personally expect something better from what some people believe is one of the scenes bright young stars.
your entitled to your opinion and Im glad you shared it. there arent many artists who dont come in for criticism on this site, thats the way it goes on forums.

DFace Street Improvement Prints, by Avian Security on May 28, 2008 22:54:34 GMT 1, I agree a set of 3 would have been sufficient. The price is pretty spot on though, if it was too low they'd all end up on Ebay top quick, and most people who actually wanted one would have to pay 200+ anyway.

DFace Street Improvement Prints, by Winter on May 28, 2008 22:56:05 GMT 1, One minute Dface is flavour of the month, next some unknown person hacks his site and posts loads of big statements. your possibly right, but I hope that isnt how they price things. whether its ยฃ200 or more it will end up Ebay, regardless. thats the nature of the beast.
though it maybe the last chance to get a dface original before it all potentially kicks off in the Autumn.
if your talking visual gags, then your current seagull work is a good as, maybe even better than what Dface currently has to offer, but again, thats just my opinion.
