Adam Neate Originals, by Curley on Aug 1, 2008 5:34:24 GMT 1, That is one serious piece of ART, one of my favourites at the Adam and Ron Show Here is a shot of it in the gallery, it was described to me at Elms as a modern day crucifixion with the policeman's fingers as the crown of thorns. No other word than stunning.

Adam Neate Originals, by guest2 on Aug 1, 2008 9:14:59 GMT 1, Pizzaboxes are originals and are virtually the next best thing from gallery piece, as they are also receipted and therefore come with provenance, so please lets not confuse them or tarnish them with the same brush as street pieces or prints Most of us know you're trying to sell one - no need to get so defensive. I'd rather have a strong street piece to a pizza box; or a print over a crappy street piece. Anyways... I'm looking for gallery originals - please continue to contact me if you have any for sale
My personal preference is street piece over prints or the pizza boxes. Street pieces have forged adams career. But each to their own.

I am so jealous.

Adam Neate Originals, by graeme501 on Aug 1, 2008 15:49:33 GMT 1, yeah the thing that attracted me 2 it was the colours, and the use of collage for the eyes, something a bit different from neate
obviously the gallery neates such as lupa's and beasty's are in a different league, but IMO its the best out of all the rest ive seen, street pieces, prints, pizza boxes, i saw in on the forum ages ago and went wow, so when the chance came up i had 2 have it

this is the most beautiful Neate ever, it makes me go weak at the knees, the man is a genius. There is a thread on the main board asking 'if you could have any original ever, what would it be?'. well this would be mine, it phenomenal, your very lucky. please post a pic when you've got it hung.

Adam Neate Originals, by skanky on Aug 3, 2008 16:45:30 GMT 1, Congratulations beasty absolute class ! One of the stand outs from the show, Neate is a class apart. I noticed the religious aspect myself and Paul confirmed it and it added so much more for me in this piece. I dont know how he manages to do what he does with cardboard its just stunning. I hope we one day see a full interpretation of the crucifixion from Neate, I think with his skill and this medium it would be a museum piece. Im glad a piece of this quality has went to one of us .

Adam Neate Originals, by snausages on Aug 3, 2008 17:40:10 GMT 1, I went to the Adam and Ron Show a couple of days before it finished and there were three pieces still available. Can't remember exact prices but I think they started at about ยฃ55,000. only 55k retail and still availableโwow!!!
Can anyone tell me how many museum collections he's in? Or at least how many museum have promised gifts coming their way of a Neate from some major philanthropist? How many awards has this guy won? How many museum exhibitions has he been in around the world? If the answer is none do yourself a favor and go to whitecube, gagosian, sprรผth etc. if you got that kind of money. Talk about speculative...

We were very lucky to get this piece as it was a late arrival when the show was being hung. If I remember correctly it was done over the Easter period, which serves to reinforce the religious theme. I also think that Adam mentioned he got the idea of representing the crucifixion in the form of a police arrest after seeing 2 policemen cart away a speaker( may have been from Speaker's Corner, I can't remember).
It is a very strong piece and it's a privilege to be able to wake up every day and enjoy it.
I can only imagine where Adam will take us to next. I have a feeling it's going to be a fantastic journey.
