it's brought it to our attention, its makes us think maybe just a little bit about how 'things' work - maybe we knew this already, maybe we didn't, maybe some of us think less of D for it, maybe we don't....but yes it makes us look at BE too, maybe it makes us think about our own motives?

I like that someone posted dubs from a 17 year old right after I told you about the wild goose chase. That means someone got in their car and drove there to waste their own hours pointing a digital camera at some dubs from a teenager... but it's not an internet game at all, that's what I am told.
It's street artists vs. advertisers? Then why is every street piece I see nowadays in London just a street version of a print they're selling, and why does the print come before the street work? Now go to Bristol, what do you see? People just doing it because it's cheeky, it's playful, it's fun to do and watch, it's open, not pretentious, it's a tool anyone can use and anyone can appreciate. That is what street art was, now it is just a sess pool filled with old fanboys who tell me ces53 is amazing because he has such colourful mayan characters..... HE IS WRITING HIS NAME, anything else you apply to that is just pretentious bullshit. Just look at this great quote from Rothko (thanks to you know who):

Now it seems that a gallery owner had one of his artists cap work that wasn't even mine, just on a hunch and a little misinformation. Accusations that I don't sell because I can't sell? Funny, I have turned down multiple offers to produce work thus far with my involvement on this forum and have been told gironawatch was happy with his canvasses. If you know that much about me and the art I do sell, maybe you can tell me what names I sell as? Yeah didn't think so. Did you know that people who graff on trains went to art school? Some of the very people you call taggers are selling art under different names in the urban market, or, shock horror, are actually responsible for producing fine art. Graff is SOMA for those people, for others it's a sport, for others a fight, but if all you see when you look at graff is stuff that makes you laugh and is purchasable and stuff that doesn't or isn't... then you don't know shit and should keep to a handful of out of touch internet sites and cargo to let you know what's going on.
The problem isn't money, because you can sell without selling out, Banksy did that spectacularly, from the print market to the revenue in authentication (which means you have to go through him to give the piece value on the secondary market), the problem is the horde of people who saw this as their moment to shine and sell, they are the ones who cause saturation and use graffiti culture when it suits them but shrug it off when it doesn't. The only street artist who can play that game is Eine.
Why do you insist on talking yourselves into corners all the time? There is very little any of you know about me but now that I have been involved in an act of vandalism you don't agree with, knives come out. I was all interesting and intelligent a few days ago, and now you are taking shots at my spelling? I don't care if I hit your collection values... good, because if your collection values had anything to do with reality, then they would not have budged through any of my actions. A banksy hack wouldn't affect him and I'm sure hacking the Lourve wouldn't affect their art values too much. My beef is that you can no longer find the plain hobnobs!...they were mighty fine..corner stone of any nutritious meal.. ....and they make a might fine cheesecake base too ;D |

I'm not really sure, I think it's about someone trying to big himself up by saying he's da man, and knows so much more than your average commercial know nothing art buyer.
But there again I could be way off track, It could also be about an alien invasion, who have managed to turn everybody into their favorite biscuit, so they end up eating themselves from the feet up, ohh thats gotta hurt!!
