I don't think Banksy ever did a commission to Jolie & Pitt, Aguiera or Jude Law. They've all bought Banksys in gallerys or shows. but not they same thing, though.

If it is true then I think whilst the scam has been well executed its out of order but ultimately futile.
Does anybody seriously think that any up and coming artist would not accommodate a celebrity when approached by them to commission a piece. This is the real world folks and if its an opportunity to increase global awareness and demand for your talent and passion then I defy anybody to say they would act differently. If the approach was made by someone whom morally you had an issue with then maybe.
In terms of him breaking edition sizes he has not stated that. He has been very careful to say that whilst by exception he would work on redoing some old pieces they would have to be different.
I think this is poor form indeed from the perpetrators (if it is true) as we all want to be able to approach artists. I know eventually with fame and fortune this happens, but why accelerate the process.
I would also add that I have only every communicated with Dface once to show him a framed piece of his I had purchased. To my surprise and delight he responded with comments.
It would be a terrible shame if this type of activity stop artists communicating with their fan base.
