I flew out to Barely Legal for the opening. Still one of my best art weekends ever. Shepard had his opening at MK Gallery that weekend too with the show that really got the ball rolling for him as well. Pretty monumental weekend in the street art timeline.

I work in Philadelphia and could get there in about 2 and a half hours, but it wouldn't go over well with my boss. If there were definitely something for sale I would go, but now I don't know. I could just go over the weekend to check it out...

Its not that. I do want to see the work, but since the show is open until the end of the month, I don't need to miss work to see it. Having something for sale would just add some urgency. I will definitely be seeing the work this weekend, if not today.

Recently its been more about what it is worth and what you'll get for it than the actuall art. At least this way Banksy knows that the people who go to see are not out to make a buck in his name. Just art for what it is. Something to look at.
