POW Open Day โข 2008, by hawk on Dec 8, 2008 13:11:01 GMT 1, I'm the poor sod who has to wait and hope (fingers crossed ) that they go online today. As I have to work tomorrow and the rest of the week wont be near a pc or Mac when and if they go online......My odds are what 1/10,000 or maybe more?

They wont be on today. No chance. Do something better with your time.

POW Open Day โข 2008, by dundun on Dec 8, 2008 13:17:22 GMT 1, Completely sure of this. I've been refreshing that page the whole weekend. ;D Make sure you bag yourself a Popeve! I did at the weekend and it's the don btw. It's getting framed this week, even before my Nola!! Congrats on the score. I actually want that print more than I want VLH. I think it might be one of my favorite BAST images ever. I like how the hand finishing is very subtle also.

POW Open Day โข 2008, by robinbanks on Dec 8, 2008 13:18:26 GMT 1, I'm sorry but the more you go on the more s**t you come out with brun.
A lot of people on this forum (myself included) would like to know what chance they have of being offered first refusal on "Very Little Helps" because it's a fcuking great print. Value doesn't come into it if you're not going to sell. I'm not denying that there were many more people there who had pound signs over their eyes but what's new?
If you don't like Banksy and don't want the print then why the hell did you enter the lottery? Like I said earlier if you wanted the charity to have your money that badly you could have just made a donation.
And IMO the Bast was average at best.

POW Open Day โข 2008, by Standard on Dec 8, 2008 13:19:33 GMT 1, i saw with my own eyes the BANkSY greed , people had no interest in anything else ,myself and the young guy from cheltenham / chelmsford who uses this forum were amazed what we saw ! and i saw it again on sunday when i was able to actually go look at the prints without being trampled on ! most people were lost in a frenzy like harrods on jan 1st looking for a tv...........
I went purely to see what all the fuss was about and mainly to grab my 20 lottery tickets and a cider. I couldn't afford to join the queue to get into the offices because I was running out of time and didn't have enough money to afford any other purchase, so I was there purely to grab my lottery. I'm not sure where the greed comes into it, surely the lottery was the first thing people would want to get done.
I was in early, grabbed my tickets, downed my cider, watched Leftery do his flipper stencil and buggered off with a few postcards, calendar and a "Saving sight, Changing lives' leaflet.
No Greed.

none taken, i was just highlighting that for many the lottery was probably the main attraction.
for me it had nothing to do with greed, i did go back multiple time though and in the end i spent just over ยฃ1000 in lotto tickets but its all for a good cause.....me getting another banksy
I really do hope that they go through the tickets and remove those that have flouted the rules.

POW Open Day โข 2008, by Nicone on Dec 8, 2008 13:43:24 GMT 1, I really enjoyed it. I went there on sunday. It wasn't too crowdy, rather peacefull... I went there, buy my 20 tickets, had a coffee, visit the POW office, bought a T-shirt, did a stencil, took a few pictures, had some fun looking at a family that was doing stencils of Xmas trees and angels (The mother holding the stencil, the 7 or 8 year's old kid spraying), then went to Mutate Britain (amazing!) and then took my eurostar back to Paris. A good day!
