POW Open Day โข 2008, by Deleted on Dec 8, 2008 12:20:23 GMT 1, Its a clever idea. I would not be suprised if they take this online, Thousands want a Banksy but only 300 can have so why not get as much cash from the many thousands and not just the 300. So will the next online release be the same, you buy 20 tickets online and if yours comes up you get the chance to buy, the first given away free. The profit margin would jump a very large amount. And im sure the bean counters noticed that over the weekend.

POW Open Day โข 2008, by Agent Provocateur on Dec 8, 2008 12:25:03 GMT 1, Nice t-shirts alsbabar...
I haven't got a clue about the rumours 'Roller Zorro' and 'First against the wall' are Banksy images but, because they said '...all the apparatus standing by ready to print on whatever you bring along' I grabbed a couple of bits of cardboard before I left home on Saturday morning.
And after about 4 hours in various queues got a white 'Roller Zorro' screened on one, plus a black POW 'Skull and Paintbrushes' on the other! Great souvenirs ;D Will post pics later when I get a chance.
Quality day... plus I picked up three of the PI paste ups for ยฃ10 each, superb!!!

POW Open Day โข 2008, by alsbabar on Dec 8, 2008 12:25:21 GMT 1, Cheers Alsabar , I bought the Roller Zorro in Red. didn't know you could get grey....Think I prefer it. Also got the Zorro image printed on to thick fabric to frame up, well chuffed.
you could have bought a plain tshirt and got what ever stencil you wanted - i should have done a doubled sided one - hindsight, i hate it!!!

POW Open Day โข 2008, by anthoz on Dec 8, 2008 12:27:53 GMT 1, if 149 people enter a draw for 150 prints they are all going to win no matter how many tickets get bought pffffft what did you say your qualifications were? I just gave you guys the basic formula to calculate both your odds and the probability your ticket will be pulled per unique draw. Not sure how much clearer it needs to be. And gave an example of using said formula based on possible outcomes. Based on your math, if 1 in 851 are the odds there would have to be a total of 127,650 unique entrants overall (851 x 150). You guys keep calculating the odds without excluding uniques and not accounting for it not being 1 prize but 150 prizes. I minored in statistics, and I do all of the statistical analysis for the company I work for. If you must know.
pfffffft no need to further the debate. alsababble has declared you the winner, and lets face it, he would know.

POW Open Day โข 2008, by onemandown72 on Dec 8, 2008 12:30:05 GMT 1, Nice to meet people on Sat, mcster, Pud, Ronhill, Grafter. Thoroughly enjoyed the day, lovely hand finished Micallef & Insect on metal. Good mulled wine, very funny moment when one of the breakers picked on "Wesley Snipes" behind us in queue. All in all well organised good day out. Thank you POW

POW Open Day โข 2008, by brun on Dec 8, 2008 12:32:38 GMT 1, totally charming ! i give to charity in the way i choose and as i said i dont want either micallef or bansky and i will if i get the chance to buy offer to someone else such as the forum members who asked me to buy them tickets . now i was lucky enough to live in london and bought for friends so it was not the same person ! nobody stopped me and nobody took my photo to send to M15 .......... i also heard dora say to a print buyer "oh you can only buy one each normally, but i will do it this time " so even the POW staff were flouting the rules of the game..... also you can only cross the road when the man is green , is that what you do ?
You can stick it up yer arse for all I care "mate".
The rules quite clearly said that each person was only allowed to buy 20 tickets!
There were collection buckets there for those that wanted to give the charity more than ยฃ20.
POW Open Day โข 2008, by Winter on Dec 8, 2008 12:34:19 GMT 1, To simplify the whole thing they should have made it 1 ticket per person and charged ยฃ20 for the ticket. Don't think it would have affected the queues. Quite tedious and time consuming to fill in 20 tickets and would have allowed everyone to get processed quicker.

i also think they should have stamped your hand with a inked Banksy or POW log, that would stop fookers buying more that 20 tickets, not bullet proof but an improvement.

POW Open Day โข 2008, by onemandown72 on Dec 8, 2008 12:39:56 GMT 1, I think that with all proceeds going to charity you should be allowed to buy as many tickets as you want. And if you then decided to spend an inordinate amount of time writing your details down you may well have regretted this.

Good luck! Nice work daddychaps, well timed. With the Karma from the lucky ten your a winner already! Im sure all the rest are happy with the Banksy box

Not sure if its the actual size of the print. The Bethlehem was awesome. Threw 2 tickets in that box for myself. So only have 8 in the Banksy box for me. Good luck!
