new print by antony micallef, by Harveyn on Sept 6, 2008 21:19:14 GMT 1, I actually think this one might be a grower but i can't make a judgement from this image. This really needs to be seen up close I think. I would not be surprised that when people see this in reality it just might get rave reviews.

new print by antony micallef, by Deleted on Sept 6, 2008 21:29:31 GMT 1, This Micallef print is just one of a few done by four Artists to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Curwen. Micallefs depicts the present day there, this is from Curwen site. Hope im not wizwrong again. ;D
Paula Rego - we are delighted that Paula is to create an original print especially for our 50th anniversary, which will depict the start of the studio in 1958. Mark Hearld - this edition will reflect the company from which the studio was born - the Curwen Press. Mark's inspiration is very much influenced by a number of artists that worked with the press so it seemed right that he should be asked to cover this period. Antony Micallef - has very kindly agreed to do an original print for us that will represent the present. He has worked with us on several occasions to create his prints. Mary Dalton - is the winner of our competition for students on a full-time printmaking course and has been to the studio and created an edition of 50, made up from three different images. Mary has just completed a MFA Printmaking at the Royal College of Art. Her drawings and the subsequent work evolves intuitively, influenced initially by the forms of anatomy, both plants and human, as well as process of making and growing that reveal human interaction with substance. All the editions will be available through us and Tate Britain. Along with the competition winners print we hope that we have covered all key stages of our 50 years from the very beginning to the future and we are very grateful to everyone to make this possible.

new print by antony micallef, by G-Man on Sept 8, 2008 17:09:13 GMT 1, Not bad from Mic but IMO I'd agree with some of the earlier posts and have a pair of bombers
£2.5k is a lot more money than it was 6 months ago.... If you know what I mean?!
