There are laws covering this that have not been mentioned, however i do believe that POW will do the right thing and extend this offer to all those who have lost out due to this fiasco
at the end of the day all the refunds arose from the same initial issue, weather you paid on thursday or friday and you were refunded, the reason for this was an issue with POW online store. If the issue had not happend then no buyers on thursday would have been refunded, and as such no buyers on friday would have been refunded as these prints would have been released anyway
Therefore it would be unfair to extend the offer only to Thursday buyers, in my opinion, as both Thursday and Friday buyers bought in good faith and the reasoning for the refund was ultimately the same, "an issue with the POW store"
However we will only find out in due course if POW understand that the issue was a problem with their site, and offer the gesture of goodwill to all those who have been affected by the websites problems, weather it be directly or indirectly.

It's statute and set up, to some extent, to protect people like me and you from organisations who might like to hide behind their 'terms and conditions', irrespective of whether 'we' have read them or not. This has been an absolute debacle and it's not of POW's making - their plans to hold an 'open weekend' in my view seriously underestimate the volume/interest. If their intention is to generate publicity and 'revive' the scene that will work but at what cost? They only manner in which it would be unreasonable for them to cancel an order would be on the basis of race, gender, or religion as that would be discrimination. But I suggest you go ahead and send the link to this statute to POW and see what they say. 
And, more crucially, UCTA only applies to clauses that pertain to exclusion of liability, so it doesn't even apply to POW's clause in question.
