Banksy "Very Little Helps" Print, by dantefires on Jan 15, 2009 13:40:45 GMT 1, My poor VLH is still in its tube and will get round to framing shortly.
Is there any chance members can show me how they have framed theirs, so I can get an idea of what fame, colour etc, best suits the print.
Go on, you know you want to show it off...

Banksy "Very Little Helps" Print, by Agent Provocateur on Jan 15, 2009 14:54:52 GMT 1, Yep, JJ... all archival type stuff, but I went for normal UV perspex rather than the top of the range version because it would have made the frame just too expensive!
Just on the subject of JJ, if you saw the back of this frame you'd wonder what they had done. Not only is it finished to perfection, but there's an added moulded rim between the frame and the back board which has four rubber circles on each corner. I think this is so that it will lie perfectly flat against the wall when hung!
Unless someone else knows the exact jackanory!

Is your print starting to curl in the frame? it looks like it....this is the reason everyone ive asked to float mount for me has been against it (dont all have a go at me now, im just going by past experience)

Banksy "Very Little Helps" Print, by Agent Provocateur on Jan 16, 2009 16:32:40 GMT 1, No worries Cashman... I know what you're saying, I've always stayed well clear of floating before. With going to JJ I decided I could trust them to know what they're doing... BUT you are right, there is a very slight curl at the bottom. This does not bother me as it reminds me it's a piece of paper. If I wanted it totally flat I would have gone down the window mount route.
But seriously if you think it looks like a bad job I will have a word with them and see what they say!

that's one of the reasons i love float mounting. even better when it ripples. central heating will make it curl more drastically though as it saps the moisture from the air and is no good for prints as well as our skin. i tend to keep the humidity at around 45-55% in my place so me and my art are kept the best way possible.
nice and easy to do. either use a electric humidifier to up the moisture levels or place a few glasses of water about the room (they dont have to be on show) and they will, over time, evaporate into the air and make the room a better place for you and your art. you'll need a Hygrometer to read the levels. most electronic thermometers have them inbuilt.

Banksy "Very Little Helps" Print, by welikestatic on Jan 16, 2009 17:05:29 GMT 1, Framed by the same guy at John Jones that framed the Elms show. The best framing in the business with a price to match. Still looking to sell/swap the Neate. The Soup Can is off to John Jones in the New Year to be preserved for a lifetime of enjoyment.
just seen this, that is the dogs mate. absolutely love it.
