Banksy Bristol City Museum Show, by hobo on Jun 14, 2009 22:33:48 GMT 1, These are the Banksy's still in Bristol roughly in an order if you wanted to walk from one to the next...
Masked Gorilla on Fishponds Road near-ish the junction with Heath Street. Cat and dogs freehand on Robertson Road near junction with Foster Street. Clik! Clak! Booom! on Cato Street near junction with Mivart Street. Freehand sunrise to right hand side of Inkie dub on St Marks Avenue at junction with Cato Street. Designated Picnic Area in short alleyway between Banner Road and Sharftesbury Avenue. Flower throwers by pathway between Princes Street and Harlston Drive Heavy weaponry on Wellington Avenue near junction with Upper Cheltenham Place (there's another at the top of St Andrews Road) Take the money and run freehand on Bath Buildings in health centre carpark nearish junction with St Andrews Road. Mild Mild West on Stokes Croft opposite junction with Jamaica Street Rose on Mousetrap on Thomas Street North. Sniper on Upper Maudlin Street opposite Children's Hospital. Grim Reaper on the Thekla (it's a boat) and is visible from Merchant's Quay. Man out of window on Frogmore Street where it crosses Park Street. Wildstyle on the shutters of Rollermania at 62 Park Row Playing It Safe stencil on Pro-Cathedral Lane (there's another at the end of Stafford Road) Tiger and barcode on Clifton Park near junction with Pembroke Road
There's also the Quak Attack piece up at Lawrence Weston Pumping Station but you'd need a car to get there, a stickman being chased by (now buffed) coppers on the junction of Nelson Street and Bridewell Street, a crappy tag on the railway bridge over M32 visable from Frome Lane which has now been tagged over by Wrong and then Worst and a stencilled tag on Brandon Hill which might or might not be by Banksy.
Enjoy Bristol.

Banksy Bristol City Museum Show, by mammal on Jun 14, 2009 23:16:10 GMT 1, Have just got back from Bristol after an amazing weekend. POW, Pest Control and Banksy have put on one of the greatest shows I have ever seen. The night was amazing. Missed having the chance to buy anything, but that was made up for by chatting to Shane Meadows (a hero up there with Banksy for me) for a wee while in a restaurant, who was on his way to the show. It was amazing to see the sheer thought and passion that has gone into making this a real classic show that will be remembered for many years. The only unhappy person was my friend who manages Fopp and had not ordered enough copies of Wall and Piece. I LOVED the sketches and recreation of his studio. However, the stand out for me were the pics from Africa. WTF, when did this happen??? They were simply beautiful. This guy is in a different league. You have to respect his circle of friends for helping out and keeping this under wraps. I was just blown away. Things that I missed the first time were all the toilet signs were vandalized with googley eyes and the bong. To be fair I had had a few beers by the time I had left. Oh, to be able to own that monkey. 3 times is not enough. The progression in his work is also amazing. Makes some of the stuff you see in Andipa, look like GCSE projects. Great ones like. I will be going back. This man is so far ahead of the pack it bloody hurts...

Banksy Bristol City Museum Show, by denmeadmichelle on Jun 14, 2009 23:23:03 GMT 1, The Sunday Times Culture section has an email(!) interview with the man himself, absolutely hysterical All his answers are classic... ... This is funny Who do you support: Bristol City or Rovers?I want the whole of Bristol to visit the show, so I’m not going to alienate anybody by saying what a pathetic footballing side Bristol Rovers are.
i was guessing he was a city fan as the ice cream van had "BCFC" on it

Banksy Bristol City Museum Show, by doublehelix on Jun 15, 2009 6:51:24 GMT 1, Not great quality as shot on my phone, but here's what the queue looked like at around 12pm on Saturday, took me about an hour to get in. Stand out for me was the studio recreation, so much to look at. I took a bundle of photos which I'll put up later. Still reeling from how good the show was, it's as if everything he's produced since Turf War was created with this venue in mind, truly awesome.
