Nick Walker - Show - BRP - 28th May, by dannygman on May 29, 2009 11:21:40 GMT 1, well i certainly enjoyed myself! i had an extended lunch with some mates i hadnt seen for ages, and then popped over to BRP for 5.45ish. i even managed to grab one of the last tickets for the chance to buy the print. i met some cool guys from here, and had the odd beer or two.

Nick Walker - Show - BRP - 28th May, by dh on May 29, 2009 11:24:19 GMT 1, I thought the show was good - a retrospective of all Nick's classic works done so far in a themed style. I don't think people should be getting too hung-up on the work - the show is serving a purpose, to close a period in Nick's artistic life so he can move onto something new. Mike and BRP did a great job of organising the queue and were very hospitable offering drinks to those waiting during the afternoon. It was very good natured and I was really pleased to get a New Dawn print (my first Walker) which looked great.

I'm 100% sure the marks and pencilling are part of the final piece as these were THE original artworks that were scanned/photographed for the book. All would've been corrected in photoshop prior to print. These won't be replaced by a pukka replacement mark my words. What you see is what you get. They still looked cool!

I think that's correct.
Asked Mike about the writing in pencil on the Snail original "While you were sleeping" and he told me that it was left there on purpose. They ain't gonna remove the pencil marks, which IMO is not ideal.
I bought it anyway ;D

be nice to see NW embark on new direction and honestly nice knowing he is not rushing into one show after another...
not many artists about can get discussion running into 16 pages on a forum and love him or hate him im happy he is still around and think nice knowing he is going to be around for alot longer also....s
