On the bright side, galleries buying prints allows a wider audience access to prints (those not on this forum) who may be just as big banksy fans but not as big forum lovers. It does raise the prices, and that sucks, but from a seller's perspective whoever can give me the best deal with the least amount of hassle has my vote. Especially with something this valuable, i can't put people on payment plans etc, and most people simply don't have that type of scratch laying about (at least the folks i know!)

Hey eschiff, I never meant to insult you with my comment about selling to a gallery.
You are absolutely right about selling to a gallery. If you need money, a gallery will pay top dollar! And you should sell for the best deal you can get.
It is only a shame that this print will be flipped for big cash in the future and that we will probably not see it back on this forum any time soon.

My comment on the PP flying was based on the tempt you in estimate of £20/30k not the final figure. That said one sold for £55k several years back so whilst I do think £74.5k was high I am not surprised.
As for £20k on the RR you only have to look at several posts in the last few months by several other forum members to know that £20k is a very good price for a buyer in todays market.
But I would acknowledge that my interest is probably clouded by the fact I have both so point taken. That said the interest has nothing to do with projecting its value and that is also a fact.

I had many offers around what the OP is asking and ended up not selling. So I have one, am not talking prices up or down, just telling you what the market rate is. Whether or not that makes sense for 'a piece of paper' is a debate that can be had about art through history!

When you look at the ridiculous prices that Nola's and CYWs are going for now (both of which are large editions), vs a RR which is a much smaller run and hand-finished, I know which I would prefer to have on my wall. It's a great piece, GLWTS......

agreed RR is better than CYW but then most Banksys are....

I've seen asking prices as high as 26k sterling for RR over the past few months and I would expect to pay ~23k to secure one. I'm sure there are cheaper out there than what I see but would be surprised to find one in good condition under 20.

I was misreading this entire thread as though it was all posted today and thinking to myself that the prices quoted above are rather low (despite the fact that they are still large sums of money) and then i realized the error of my ways.
