Why's releasing work that the people on a lower budget can buy a case of "rinsing em?" Seems to me they can't win either way! Either they choose to only deal in OG's, which are beyond the reach of many common folk now, or they release an occasional print or two and they're accused of rinsing it. Sorry for being thick, I just don't understand what you mean, obviously. Interested in understanding your point of view though if you care to elaborate for us thicker peeps.

His early screenprint just couldnt match up to the majority of originals he produces. Im sure they will be incredible looking.

And what about multi-plate lithography? That would be the ideal choice here over a cheap facsimile eh? He could paint each plate (color) by hand and build up all of the layers one on top of the other, he might even learn something in the process. Instead like all across this scene, more cheap posters for a quick buck.

I think most people sniffing at this release probably view Parla as 'the connoisseurs choice,' for those that know. All this "well you have to see an original to truly appreciate his genius, I wouldn't spit on a glicee" nonsense is sooo elitist. Art is for everyone, not just for people with 25k to spend on an original. I hope he releases an open edition next for £20 just to really p!ss off the snobs...

The ownership of fine art is most definitely not for everyone. Fine art has been, and always will be, a necessarily elite commodity.

just responding to the statement 'art is for everyone'.
People dismissing things as 'so elitist' are well beyond the point. The ownership of fine art by its very nature has to be elitist, has to be restricted, and can not be democratic. There is nothing inclusive about it.
Back to Parla, I am confused by this print released but am willing to give it a chance to see if they can pull it off. Personally, I've always viewed the watercolors as Parla's version of a print.
