Personally I think the price was always going to be high. These prices are going to put a few people off buying from source and may be actual market value prices. It's better than a lotto IMO..

I'm not at all surprised by the prices ( i guessed around the 1k mark) but the edition size surprises me as I just can't see 300 purchases, I'd always aim to have more demand than supply

Well, not everyone is a flipper, yes it is unfortunate that people do try to make a quick profit out of someone else's kindness, but I thought the idea of a print would be to have your work available to a wider audience who might not be able to afford the originals.

these prices although high for prints, still do make Parlas work available to a wider audience. Elms clearly want these prints to end up in the right hands. shame some Jose Parla fans won't be able to afford them.
i am def going to have a look at these but they are going to have to be mind blowing to tempt me.
You can get some cracking abstract works for less than 2 of these prints cost. check out this Mr Jago

Personally I don't think these are expensive if compared to the shyte churned out by some other artists for over £400 a pop, if they're as good as I've been imagining they will be. I agree with Slammer above, why on earth should anyone sell their product at undervalued prices, just so that some "collectors" can make an instant profit? I think a lot of people here have some weird ideas about print values on the secondary market - perhaps Banksymania has spoiled them...... I think they're probably priced at close to actual market value. And of course they make his work available to a wider audience, what else of his could you buy in a similar price-range?
If the quality is even close to that of Neate's prints, we're all in for a treat. I have a hunch it will be even better.

I dont think you need an invite mate  It says on their website - "You are invited to the gallery on Saturday 5th December between 12 – 6pm to mark the occasion." so I would take that as anyone can just come along.
