He used to be up there as one of my favourites, now i really find his most recent works as dull and unoriginal. He is just trying to cash in, rather than make statements, or be seen as a graffiti/street artist

He is supposed for be the 'godfather' of stencil art yet at the original cans, a festival to showcase the main talent of stencil arts today (minus nick walker of course), chose to use the same few stencils he's been using for god knows how long. Everyone else around him rose to the challenge and he instead took the easy route out.
The images released before his recent book launch with Wooster were surely meant to wet our appetites but instead left me, and iโm sure others, cold. The petrol tanker image, the hand image et al were boring, clichรฉd and hugely uninspiring.

Hmm.. aren't they all rubbish - Blek's and Fairey's? Just glorified campaign posters (and yes I know Blek's are canvases before any smart alec reminds me) and we know both artists can do better . But that's just my opinion.

i wonder if shep/blek/pretty much every other artist around today will weigh into the next english election?? i'm sure gordon brown could do with some much needed help although i'm not sure many people would want to hang their efforts on their walls!

I agree that it is recognisable as his work, but does that make it worth that amount of money??? i certainly wouldn't want it on my wall.
I actually hope David Choe's Obama print from Upper Playground becomes the more iconic, i thought it was fantastic...
