Nice DJ.
I'm hearing some really great things about Aiko.
Apparently when she parted from Faile, she purposely changed her work so that it had very little resemblance to Faile.
Now time has passed, i have heard that she is going back to her roots.
I also hear she's the second only female street artist to have work in museums (or museums have requested work)
There was the most amazing large piece that Ad Hoc had in their last show. Can't remember the name, but it was stunning. A friend of mine bought it. Steal of the year if you ask me.

Some facts, gentlemen.
Aiko was, and is, primarily a stencil artist whose input to the works of Faile was pretty much limited to half a dozen recurring stencil images, important images at the time yes, but ones they no longer use in their pieces. Truth is, Aiko has really had little to do with Faile for the last 3 years, it was around early 2005 when she stopped being involved in doing creative work with them. They invited her along on projects and whatnot after that time, but in-terms of creatively participating and or making anything new, in terms of the Faile that people know today, Aiko checked out a long time ago.
Whilst in no way belittling her contribution to their earlier works, she is now heavily plagiarizing Faile, the Pats', own layering, ripping and coloring techniques, having failed (no pun intended) to set the world on fire with her own work since splitting from the guys a couple of years back.
Far from "going back to her roots" and being true to herself, she's doing exactly the opposite.

Everyoneโs favourite drill wielding Portuguese maverick VHILS has been experimenting with all sorts of chemicals in our state of the art research facility (next doorโs car park). The results will be available imminently and are almost certainly the first time weโve ever tried to sell you something made out of Quink ink and household bleach."
