Come on the Arsenal, by Va Va Voom on Apr 2, 2008 23:54:08 GMT 1, Eboue is a cheat, gutless, and a lazy fu*ker..Bendtner just not good enough for this level yet,Almunia not commanding enough with terrible distribution..and what does Theo have to do to receive a pass from his team mates, time and time again he was ignored. One very disgruntled season ticket holder here, but we can still get a result at Anfield...and that penalty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come on the Arsenal, by top on Apr 3, 2008 0:01:56 GMT 1, mate i go to games to all home games, a lots of away games, I have seen enough to tell me that there are certain players who do not belong at club - i pay a s**t load of money to go and see them and have been a season ticket holder for nearly 30 years, so yes perhaps I am being a little harsh, but I am being honest with my opinion and its not an opinion I am alone in. I am not brainwashed like some Arsenal fans I know, that Arsene knows best. I have to go back to George Graham days to think of a worse team then what I am seeing. Attractive football is pleasing to the neutrals eye, but attractive football with possibly no trophies in 3 years, means f**k all to me - i would like us sometimes to win and win nasty
..fair enough, lets hope they pull something out the bag for the return leg! ..a distinct lack of silverware must be doin Gunners fans heads in completely..next year will be Arsenals I think, after they have gel'd more..

Come on the Arsenal, by alsbabar on Apr 3, 2008 0:05:26 GMT 1, i would like Arsenal to spend some of that money, i just dont think buying players for 500K and they wil turn in to superstars works anymore. I dont care what other players say, but Henry at Arsenal, tonight he would have killed Liverpool on his own. Can you imagine, Henry, Robin Van Persie, Walcott up front, that would be nearly as good as Eto'o, Ronaldinho and Messi

Henry..complete legend of Arsenal..truly awesome, best striker in the world bar none. Think you may just have to 'wait and see' (frustrating as it is) what comes of this 'potential stars'. Have to say that dropping some serious quids would help no end though too!
Eto'o, Ronaldinho and Messi..if only dreams were reality! ..quality

Apart from the fact that Eto'o has been injured most of the season and Ronaldinho has been utter shit
Strange the massive turn around on Walnut recently too...

Come on the Arsenal, by pezlow on Apr 3, 2008 8:34:55 GMT 1, Eboue is not fit to wear an arsenal shirt. He is a gutless, spineless cheat. I can't stand that sort of cheat and we need to get rid of him as soon as possible.
What does walcott have to do to get a game. Ridiculous.
We are becoming like spurs - playing pretty powder-puff football with no end product. f**k that I want to win things.
If I hear Wenger moaning about how unlucky we were one more time I think I am going to throw my TV out the window. You make your own luck.

Come on the Arsenal, by seidbereit on Apr 3, 2008 8:46:28 GMT 1, Crikey.
I've always thought Arsenal fans were very lucky to have the side they have - certainly one of the most fluid passing sides in the league and only two league defeats this season and 62 goals scored (36 to the good). Obviously I don't watch them week in week out like you all do but I didn't think there was this sort of bad feeling. No pleasing some people
As a Manchester City supporter it's a little amusing to see the toys getting chucked out of the pram after what wasn't a defeat, wasn't a bad performance, and wasn't the end of the world. You're all talking like its all over though.
Oh and if you really want to see powder puff football have a look at Martin Petrov. If he's not got the ball and going forward he might as well be sat next to me for all he contributes as he tackles like a lesbian.

Come on the Arsenal, by mcster on Apr 3, 2008 8:51:43 GMT 1, I was there last night. Bad decision on the penalty, but we can't keep blaming luck, refs, etc for our failings. Van P is looking like our answer to Darren Anderton and we need someone else to play up there with Ade. Eboue is an embarrassment, Theo should be playing every game now. He's hungry and a lot stronger than he was, whereas Eboue makes me cringe. Wenger's only real failings (IMO) are his blind faith in players that are clearly not good enough and his refusal to spend big. I've heard (although can't say for sure it's true) that the club level at the Emirates takes more per game than the whole ground did at Highbury. Surely one or two big purchases of experienced players in their prime would be worth paying out for?

Come on the Arsenal, by pezlow on Apr 3, 2008 8:57:52 GMT 1, The real failing was not buying anyone in the winter transfer window. Kolo and Eboue at the African nations, Van Persie was injured, Denilson was injured, Rosicky got injured during the transfer window. It was obvious we were going to be stretched later on in the season but yet again Wenger failed to get his cheque book out and we are paying the price now.

Cheque book?? Cheque book?? What cheque book??
Arsenal get by on ยฃ50 a week donated by the Salvation Army and the African branch of the YMCA. Amazingly, none of their players receive wages - it's all done on a volunteer basis. Their 60k seater stadium was built by magic fairies, some of whom are kind enough to also play for the first XI. If they run out of magic fairies they run out of players... simple as that, not cheque books enter the equation

Come on the Arsenal, by pezlow on Apr 3, 2008 9:10:32 GMT 1, Lol - you are right Mike it does feel that way sometimes.
I can't understand the reluctance of the manager and the board to spend the money they have. It's bizarre. Whilst United, Chelsea and Liverpool go out and spend ยฃยฃยฃ's in the transfer market the board seem to rely on Wenger unearthing some hidden talent from a million pound player. We will never properly be able to compete with those teams until that attitude changes.

Come on the Arsenal, by seidbereit on Apr 5, 2008 14:03:21 GMT 1, Just noticed that when Bendtner scored just now he celebrated all by himself - all the rest of the arse side just trotted back to the centre circle. Is he not popular then? He looked a bit embarrassed when he turned round and noticed he was alone.
Where's the Prem Lge thread gone? Can't find anything these days.

With an unbiased head on (as unbiased as possible) you're 100% right. If I was an Arsenal fan I'd feel very very aggrieved tonight
