Next England manager?, by headphonesex on Nov 26, 2007 15:53:51 GMT 1, Brooking, Supported by wright, pearce, adams & shearer as coach's, Brooking because you need a good professional frontman to restore some credibility to the f**king shambles mclaren & barwick have left behind, adams & pearce to coach defence, & wright & sheare to coach attack, all 4 to remind the 11 tossers what a honour its supposed to be to play for your country. short term solution, long term if it worked.
Although I agree with you about Brooking... I don't want Wright, Shearer or Adams anywhere near the England team. Why them, because they're on telly a lot?
Tony Adams proved at Wycombe that he is completely incompetant as a manager and coach. Shearer? Since when has he said anything remotely perceptive about any game he's ever watched? Plus he is the most boring & least charismatic man alive. If he goes anywhere near the England set up i'm leaving the country. And Ian Wright? I can't say anything other that WTF to that. WTF?
Although to be fair he would be great at encouraging a new generation of youngsters into Ladbrokes.

Next England manager?, by lastpost on Nov 26, 2007 16:12:23 GMT 1, I take the Adams comment on board although I don't think it is all down to him. As for Shearer etc just because they were good players doesn't qualify them as good coaches/managers. With Wrighty we'd probably see Bradley and Sean playing up front ;-)

What has Adams done at Portsmouth?
I don't have an argument with Shearer being a great striker... i'm just struggling to work out why this would make him a great manager? I've not seen myself that he has any of the necessary attributes.
Wright may be charismatic, but so was Mussolini. What role do you see for him? Cheerleader?
I'd just like them to appoint the best person / people for the job... not the most high profile TV personalities.

"What does your dad do at weekends?"
Little boy
"He's a dancer in a gay bar and sometimes if the moneys right he lets punters bang his arse and cum in his gob"
Teacher takes him outside and says "Is this true?" "No miss its bollocks. He plays for England but I'm too embarrased to say".
(Cheers to Tarik for that one) ;D
