I have to admit Iโve never sat through La Haine. I did attempt to ages ago with a group of people and they kept going on about some amazing panning shot it has, and think I got sidetracked! I will give it another go-thanks for the tip!

Agreed about Nikita-another classic. I have to admit Iโve never sat through La Haine. I did attempt to ages ago with a group of people and they kept going on about some amazing panning shot it has, and think I got sidetracked! I will give it another go-thanks for the tip! |

Marc Caro who made the movie with Jeunet was one of my best friend ( he was a comic drawer before, we made music, etc etc ).
For me he was the dark part of the duo Caro/Jeunet ( cool one anyway too ) even if in despite of his face he was very very funny !
Here is his first middle movie
That was played before the first Besson movie in b/w too :
Le Dernier Combat ( the Last Battle with already Jean Reno ( Leon )
Then they made together, the City of the Lost Children
Then Caro was not agreed with Jeunet who made then Amelie Poulain, Alien 4 ( I think ) etc .. and they left together.
Beaucoup de souvenirs

Another great film written and directed by Paddy Considine which I recommend if you haven't seen is Tyrannosaur. Great acting by Olivia Colman.

(all though I still maintain that he run's in a strange way), but just look at all his iconic rolls. And they are iconic. Still a great film though. |
