Any market players/traders on this board???, by brun on Sept 16, 2008 22:23:51 GMT 1, Bought(Long) Dec GBP(BPZ8) @1.7375, and Sold(Short) the $Index 80.5.... Got out of the GBP trade @1.7850, and got out of the $Index trade @78.875 Locked in 475pips on the Sterling, and 175pips on the $Index.... ...Not bad, for a couple strategies that were only employed since the middle of last week. Next trade I'm lookin' at... Buy Crude if it hits $85/bbl!! ...I'm buyin'(Long) Dec Crude(CLZ8) @$87.5, with a stop-loss @83.5... With a target sell-limit @103.5. I'm shootin' for a $20k return on the Crude trade, per position. Also, Wheat is lookin' like a good buy, and Corn is almost there, too! Soybeans has a strong support level @10.50/bshl. If it dips down to this level, I'm buyin' the sh1t outta it! And, here's my mortal lock for this fall-winter seasonal trades... March Coffee(KCH9) is a commodity that always sees a rise during the colder season. So, if you buy it now, and sell it in Feb-March, it's an 85% favorite to be a winner. Likewise for Heating Oil(HO) and Natural Gas(NG). These 2 show a higher percentage. Being a winner the past 13/15 years. Happy Trading BIG MONEY, NO WHAMMIES!!! is this guy for real ? i fear he is you should look at 99p stores and aldi , good future investment . also soup kitchens for the homeless is always a winner ................

However, I wouldn't expect you to understand all of it... unless, of course, you have a federal license to trade the markets...
Or, you're an active trader yourself with a little experience in reading a chart and trend lines.
Do you know what a support or resistance line is, Prescript?

If you want to discuss this go on III or MoneyAM or something. I come here to get away from the stockmarket - I don't want it fucking hovering over me like flies on a shit.

Please refrain from sharing your fantasies with the rest of us....What the hell is this unbridled affinity you have for schoolmasters?
Actually, don't answer that... Again, I believe I speak for everyone when I say, keep that to yourself, as well!

ARE YOU PHUCKIN' HIGH?!?!?!?!?
I won't add another trade strategy to this thread. For those of you that are genuinely interested in sharing ideas and foresight on the markets, I'd be happy to maintain our correspondence via pm.
PW... I agree with your call on Gold. I'd luv to throw some parameters, and other strategies around... pm me!

Any market players/traders on this board???, by veralynn on Sept 17, 2008 20:26:27 GMT 1, Do you have any idea of where metals might be going? cos the scrotes round my way are nicking drain covers still and the scrap value of these is falling, its only ยฃ8 per cover.
There's a significant resistance from the local scrap dealers to take them for fear of a collar feel from the Babylon although the Gann would suggest that they should keep them in a shed for a while as this is only a technical bounce......
Day trade HBOS, everyone else is.....................

Any market players/traders on this board???, by bostonlongstroke on Sept 17, 2008 21:48:17 GMT 1, You're talking about the base metals(i.e. Copper), correct?
Copper was the only metal that had a modest jump. However, most components of a complex move in tandem. Meaning, if you're in 1, you're in 'em all.
The precious metals(i.e. Gold) had been over-sold leading into this jump. It was do for a nice jump, but I certainly didn't expect what we saw today... Gold was up $90/oz, today.
From an opening low of $775/oz, to a high of $869/oz!!!!
Because of this stock market mess, it's causing a cascading influx of money from everywhere, looking for a flight to quality... Which happens to be the Commodity/Futures markets
We may see Gold test the highs of this year.
Any noobs(new comers) thinking about getting in, I'd recommend straddling this market, with options.
Buy a Call option on the top side, and Buy a Put option on the bottom side of the market price. This way, it doesn't matter which way it goes, you'll always win on 1 side of the trade. And, when that starts to happen, unwind the losing side. Cut the loss, leave the winner.
Always cover your angles. Especially after a huge move like this. Sometimes, you'll see a bit of a whipsaw turn-around after moves like today's.
Happy Trading!
GO FUTURES!

Any market players/traders on this board???, by funster on Sept 17, 2008 23:30:35 GMT 1, BLS, for a few days I've read your posts with a wry smile. You seem to fail to notice that there's other people on this forum, myself included, that are very knowledgeable about the stock market, futures, commodities and currency exchanges. However, the others (again, myself included) do not feel that this is the correct forum to express such a knowledge. Could I suggest you have decided to express your 'knowledge' here because it cannot be scrutinised to the same degree as the countless other trader forums would. You may feel by throwing in a few words from "Trading for Dummies" makes you a respected and sought after member, may I point out it doesn't, especially when repeatedly used in the wrong context.

Any market players/traders on this board???, by bostonlongstroke on Sept 18, 2008 0:53:04 GMT 1, Funster...
I visit a number of trader/market forums, almost as often as this 1.
Now, I invite you to explain to me exactly what was used out of context, and where.
I sit anxiously, on the edge of my seat, awaiting a post showcasing your market prowess.
Please, enlighten me.

Any market players/traders on this board???, by hlarmy on Sept 18, 2008 8:05:36 GMT 1, BLS, for a few days I've read your posts with a wry smile.
