That what I was thinking. Probobly is just a simple beef, especially now. But c'mon the piece had been dogged to fuck and the paster was restoring it, keeping the only remaining part of the robbo tag visible. Seemed like respect if nothing else.
On the other hand B could've been saying these tags are as boring as wallpaper/ have been reduced to part of "underground" themed advertising and are meaningless urban detritious (in keeping with the fisher boy piece)... IMO it doesn't seem like banksy would make a move like that, to blatantly insult graff heads, when they are already at his throat.
Unless it's a fuck you for them dogging all his pieces...
now I'm less sure than ever. Classic Banksy.
(And a classy reply from Robbo I gotta say!)

Completely agree.
Perhaps the "not going over your elders rule" is why this kind of graffiti has stagnated so much. Going out and writing is risky enough. If the nearest blank/unclaimed wall is miles away its probably enough to put you off altogether...
Anyway, right or wrong, the end result is that millions of people who hadn't heard about Robbo, now have done. (meaning they won't get slapped if they happen to bump into him). And it has also led to the most interesting art battle that I can remember.
