1. i can't believe it even got to 140
2. you are the high bidder and now get to work with the auciton house and negotiate with the seller (while hearing what anyone else is willing to do) and perhaps make a deal at 140+ fees.

I'm not sure what he paid for that Banksy oil canvas but I bet it wasn't 140k. Agree with past sediments the greed is just amazing here.

There could be an argument that the auction should've been postponed for 2 weeks or so in everyone's interest.

Spot on mate! Some high estimates and a lot of sellers who clearly bout pieces in the preceding months purely to sell on ASAP (getting their just desserts imo).

Yeah but although those artists sold, that OG Faile Butterfly girl sold for a lot less than what it would retail for based on the last Faile lottery. The Banksys took a beating compared to past auctions and I don't really follow Neate.
While I expect the top tier artists in this genre to weather this storm eventually even they are going to get pretty roughed up. The lower tier artists, eh???
