Faile FairQ feedback needed, by fairq on Nov 19, 2007 18:20:48 GMT 1, Hi there,
Thanks to those who have entered the Qs for the recent Faile art sales event. We know that feedback is mixed (some say it's good, others bad) and we would very much like to improve the product for the future. If you could spare a few minutes of your time and answer 15 survey questions that would be great. Your reward is that we've setup a SECRET Q for people who complete the survey for a free piece of artwork donated by a well known artist.
All of your feedback is anonymous and will be confidential. Thanks again and please feel free to contact us if you have any questions!
Regards, FairQ.com info@fairq.com

Faile FairQ feedback needed, by GB on Nov 19, 2007 20:27:59 GMT 1, cant seem to get onto it....... if there was one thing i would like to improve other than win, it would be to find out how many people entered into the Q's that i was in. just to give me some context about how lucky/unlucky i was in the end (not during auction)
also fix the hot mail thing, thats just rubbish....

Just clarifying the draw and entry date end times (which you guys are already addressing) Like GB mentioned, it would have been nice to have seen how many entries there were (after the lottery is over though, so people don't go creating more accounts to have the odds swing in their favor).
This method beat the hell out of hitting F5 and getting refunded.

Faile FairQ feedback needed, by pkt75 on Nov 20, 2007 10:18:03 GMT 1, Get f**kin rid of it, its s**t! I love the question askin about other artists we would suggest for the lottery system. I'd love it if all my fave artists started selling on this s**t and very confusing lottery system and sorry excuse for a fair win, I'd love it as much as stickin pins in my eyes. I filled out the survey, but keep ur secret id code/Q fairq, I dont want it or ur s**t idea.

Faile FairQ feedback needed, by robinbanks on Nov 20, 2007 10:29:52 GMT 1, Even though I didn't win anything in the Faile lottery I thought it was a pretty good idea.
Why? Because I entered the lottery for a one of a kind Faile original. What chance would I have of purchasing the same piece from Faile or a gallery - absolutely none in all honesty.
At least the lottery gives me the same chance of owning an original as Joe Flipper and John Dealer.

Faile FairQ feedback needed, by pkt75 on Nov 20, 2007 10:34:56 GMT 1, Maybe with the Faile one offs it was a good idea, but print editions would be a nightmare, I'd rather F5 4 a month, its half the fun in some sick kinda way. you feel like the chance of getting wot u want is in ur own hands and not in the hands of some randomly picking computer system.

I agree, great folk at Faile, but terrible system ( IMO). I would much rather take my chances with the F5 situ, as at least there is an outside chance with that, the raffle idea is too open to abuse by certain people with certain software at their disposal....

Also I did your lovely survey to get to the secret que only to be told.
'Sorry, that's not the right code. Please try again'
good scam for getting people to fill out an anoying survey, a false lure. Makes me trust the que thingy even less

Faile FairQ feedback needed, by buster on Nov 20, 2007 23:04:42 GMT 1, Not a fan of lottery systems as a rule. Not for tickets, and not for prints. I rarely enter them- in fact, I didn't even check what Faile were selling this time, so disinterested was I once I knew it was a lottery. Its a ridiculous concept- having to win the chance to buy something and give someone money... F5 all the way. If you miss out, then s**t happens. Sorry if thats blunt. Works for me fella, dont apologise

Thanks for the feedback! ;D But, unfortunately, a lot of people disagree. We've lined up another artist, but will be making improvements to the site based on feedback on the survey.

Quite a few people have successfully registered for the secret Q. Just doublechecked the code and URL and seems to work fine. Please try again.

You would be surprised. Very few people registered more than once and those who did have been logged in our system. When the next release comes out, they will be informed.

I dont really give a toss how many people may disagree with me, this is my opinion of this lottery system. I refuse to join some sort of 'members club' to be told by some computer that it ALLOWS me to buy the art that i want. All those that are in favour of this system will probably in time reverse their positive support once they have not been chosen for their 3rd or 4th print release in a row. this in time will not work IMO
Tho dispite my harsh words I wish you the best of luck with it fairq, i'm always in favour of a better system. I jus dont think this is the one.

Faile FairQ feedback needed, by Johnston America on Nov 21, 2007 3:51:54 GMT 1, I have to echo everyone elses sentiments - it's a bit rude to have to consider yourself "lucky" enough to "win" when you're paying someone thousands of dollars... i.e = please oh please let me win so I can pay you!
also hate the idea of not REALLY knowing whether it's all on the up and up...

I really gotta agree with this. Usually when you win a lottery you get paid, not pay. Maybe I'm biased because I'm fast with the F5 and usually get what I want.
But it's all good this round, Faile didn't come out with anything particularly interesting last week and they were so small. I just hope Faile does a normal release, it's like a competition, gets the blood flowing.

On top of that a lottery to pay top tier ebay prices? Was gonna enter just for the hell of it. Faile email said registration ends 5pm friday. Registration ends thursday instead. Actual registration process is a deterrant in itself. Security issues if you really think about it. Easy to rig for the ambitious. I guess you know my conclusion...
