Banksy • No Ball Games GREY, by nex on Dec 14, 2009 11:39:07 GMT 1, Really? Imagine Banksy releases one of the best/most popular prints he's ever done. Its a lottery and lets say only 1/10 of the people who want one get one. You think a significant number of passionate fans who missed out wouldn't try and get hold of one for the next five years? I think when there are a limited number of items that lots of people want, a market of some sort will always develop - it's inevitable. My guess is there would be fairly high prices straight after release, (before the fakes hit) then the market would get flooded with fakes and the uncertainty would drive prices right down, then when the coa's were issued 5 years later, prices would skyrocket (if Banksy is still as popular as he is today). Fair point and in retrospect you're probably right.....was more responding to the idea more than anything..
i assumed this discussion was a joke?
hold COA's for 'x' number of years wtf? Without getting into the whole discussion of the actual legality of this. Surely people should be allowed to sell a piece, no? Are we not allowed to buy a new piece once we've filled our walls? Or I guess in the warped world of some of you guys logic I've had my fill and should disappear into the ether?

Banksy • No Ball Games GREY, by mishco on Dec 14, 2009 11:46:32 GMT 1, 100% agree; I can't stand seeing a reflection! It shouldn't cost much more than £200 from a non-branded framer, maybe £250 maximum for a print of this size... I hope Garys (MFM) is reading this Im waiting for his quote, £200 would do very nicely ;D
Got my quote back and £200 will do nicely although if you wait until the new year you might get a better deal getting mine done in the new year, cheers Gary

Pepole do not always post on here that they have won. And there is a world away from this forum.Plus as mentioned before not all winners will be able to check there emails at work, or they could have been out living a life and not like me checking my emails every few seconds, only to find an email from Opus offering me free delivery. Well done to all the winners

i second that! ;D
p.s. what do people think about the BIN's selling on ebay for 2.2k-2.5k. Bit fishy if you ask me, desperate people trying to force the price up.

had some pieces framed by them, when bought from their sister gallery - compared to other pieces I have had framed the quality of their work seemed fairly shoddy - of course this maybe an isolated incident
