Good luck in your hunt for a queen vic, make sure you check everything before handing over any cash.

Banksy Happy Chopper Print, by rotten on May 26, 2010 16:30:46 GMT 1, Thanks for all of your support everyone. I'm not surprised he disappeared...and wouldn't be surprised if he re-appeared as another username. I unfortunately did pay about $1900 U.S. for it, and doubt i'll ever see that money again. Honestly, I don't think there's any sort of legal route I could take that wouldn't end up costing me somewhere around that amount just in legal fees. So I'm chalking it up to a learning experience.
It's interesting that he's listed a couple things on ebay, he swore to me he never used ebay. He also mentioned to me in one of his emails that he had other large prints mounted on paper like this at the recommendation of his framer. If my framer ever recommended that to "prevent damage from framing", I'd get a new framer.
Now I basically have to decide if I want to try to sell it on as-is and take a pretty significant loss, or say fuck it and hang it up and try to matte out most of the damage since it's primarily along the edges. I have a feeling that it might just piss me off every time I look at it up on the wall.

Can't believe you've publicly stated you're giving up though Where is jwart located? I'm sure someone knows someone unofficial who makes a living off collecting debt... I'm sure many of us wouldn't stop until we were in the same financial position as before.

LOL - "persuasive debt collectors" - good one Harveyn - we have quite a few of these in Brooklyn, if needed...brass knuckles and all...

Banksy Happy Chopper Print, by Deleted on May 26, 2010 18:41:16 GMT 1, is this jwart from the UK? whereabouts? Islington... that's what he told me when I was going to buy a S&S from him
I live in Islington and I know there are a few others on here that do too. Perhaps we should put together a posse!
On a serious note, this isn't a bending of the truth to make a few quid (which I do not condone), it is blatant day-light robbery and a criminal case needs to be brought.
If you have evidence, then the relevant authorities need to be notified.

With any luck, the seller will see sense and cough up. If not, do not let this lie.

It might not be as expensive to pursue as you think. You may be able to give someone power of attorney who can go through the small claims court on your behalf. Any solicitors on here who could advise on that or help?

Most will take the fee from the cash they collect and at least that way you get some cash back and matey gets a fucking good shoeing.

no it can be sorted, phone your bank. if you do take legal proceedings he is in the wrong so he will have to pay both sides, but im sure it will most likely be resolved by then. but phone the bank that you paid your money from as they will be able to help.

Agree with Adam, if goods have been misrepresented then you have recourse, this is the most serious type of misrepresentation, fraudulent misrepresentation.
