I didn't once say you were selling a fake, i said that EVERYONE (i.e everyone, not just those of us who have been around for a while, but those who have just got into Banksys work etc) know of Pest Control and their COA's are considered to be gospel. I never once commented on the authenticity of the letter, just the fact that NOT EVERYONE WOULD KNOW that Laz's word was as good as PC's, and IMO you are limiting your sales potential by not spending £50.
As for prices, i skim read your posts, frankly i was just wondering why i wasn't selling anything and your thread was getting more attention than mine....

It does though have a signed letter of provenance from Steve Lazarides stating the print was signed in front of him by the artist himself (who else signs these then?). The letter is signed and sealed with Steve Lazarides' thumbprint, you can't get better than that. It also has the original envelope the letter was sent in and the receipt, (it wasn't cheap), what more do you want. www.flickr.com/photos/16839508@N04/10871188493/£15000 ono I can do London for face to face, discussions required for payment. Hope you can see the flickr photo, can't work out how to get images on the thread….

If you water down the cynicism I think you'll find valuable advice as far as aiding in getting a high-value print sold successfully with minimal (going forward) headache involved. **As usual I'll append my standard "I am in no way an expert nor is a $15K Banksy anywhere at all near the realm of ever being remotely feasible" nota bene. |

My opinion and is just my opinion is that people should regard anything without a COA as dodgy. No reflection implied on you or the piece but people should take serious care of their hard earned cash. High price does not imply authenticity. I agree with your Laz letter etc but that was replaced by PC so PC over rides that eg if they then say it's not the buyer is buggered. You say 15k or nearest offer then take 14950 and spend 50 on the COA. Your choice but this whole thread implies that not too is a waste of time.
