I'm not the buyer (I recently bought one from a Gallery), but I'm really surprised this didn't go for more. I've been a member on this form for a few month's now, and it seems everyone loves the Happy Choppers, and plenty of people were looking to buy an unsigned one. I definitely thought there would be plenty of bidders, but only one!!?? Any idea's why this didn't go for more than ยฃ1800?
I think people get nervous of buying from japan. There has been talk of fakes coming out of Japan and even talk gets people worried. Also having to deal with customs charges tends to put people off.

Another one of the 'gift from Banksy' stories. Tough one to call... But I seem to remember a bunch of unsigned, unstamped, unnumbered copies being sold a while back. It wouldn't take much to ad a signature to one and make up a story.

If you are selling a signed HC surely the least you could do is get some sort of provenance and a few decent photos up. I won't be throwing my money after this one.
