"I am inclined to suspect that there is at least a level of deception at play here. Banksy admits in the film that it was his suggestion that prompted Guetta to rifle through the pop cultural dustbin and put together his monster show. Itโs not too much of a stretch to surmise that Bansky orchestrated the whole event to test the credulity of the art-buying hordes.
I have another reason to suspect this. I once met Banksy. It did not go well. What started out as a perfectly amiable chat descended into hostility when he talked about his favourite film and I gave my critical evaluation of it. The film was Life is Beautiful, the mawkish story of a man who creates a fictional alternative reality in a Nazi death camp. And the title of Guettaโs LA show? Life is Beautiful"

really wanting to see ETTGS, however my dad has come down for a visit this weekend... and has suggested we go see it as he knows i have an interest in graff etc. The query I have is... he isnt really into street art, and is like 68 years old and a little old school in terms of what he views as right and wrong. so would this film be ok for an old guy basically is my question... or is there some 'adult content' he might not be too keen on.
i probably am making my old man sound weird- i just dont want to take um to a film he will be uncomfortable with but at the same time appreciate him suggesting it trying to take an interest!
just wondering why this film is a 15 basically!?

Banksy cool as ever but the film has taken my hatred of Mr. Brainwash to a different level..always knew his "artwork" was unoriginal, photoshoped shit, the film has confirmed this in a BIG way. I also think banksy was (in between the lines) putting across how ridiculous the whole MBW boom is ... Also great Shepard Fairey & invader footage. enjoyed it!

Just got back, thought it was great! Got to admit that I love the scene of MBW hand finishing his prints!! Still not really sure what to make of MBW, seems like a good guy, not a massive fan of his work tho. Recon I'll see this again at some point!!
