One thing I was surprised about was the lack of numbers. Only 2 cinemas in Scotland showing this. Glasgow last night, 8.30pm prime showing and less than half full. Surprising, but amazing. Might go again!!!

Got to admit that I love the scene of MBW hand finishing his prints!! Still not really sure what to make of MBW, seems like a good guy, not a massive fan of his work tho. Recon I'll see this again at some point!! 
The movie was excellent, lots of laughs in the room! MBW is actually a quite nice bloke (art aside). But it clearly shows the joke he is, the hanfinishing part, all his helpers, etc...things that you don't do or get when you are in your artistic infancy. Anyway, won't spoil it for anyone, GO SEE IT! ;D
(whoever buys into his art though, really didn't get the movie and clearly is a sucker!)

Deffo agree ricobenfico about lack of numbers, the viewing we went to was pretty quiet too.

BANKSY Film "Exit Through The Gift Shop", by wahman on Mar 6, 2010 21:08:50 GMT 1, just back... loved it! so did my old man, really interesting. as said great invader and fairey footage. a first i admired MBW's dedication to filming and tracking down the street artists and following them etc... but they way he conducts his own 'art' left me cold. banksy, a legend as usual! will go see it again for sure!

Before the screenings down Leake Street there were a series of vintage adverts (American Express, an old mobile phone one plus another which I can't remember at the moment). They kept on being repeated over and over again until you just heard one word from each advert. I think it ended up saying "don't buy crap" or something like that. In addition there was an advert with a montage of street pieces which ended with "Don't drink alcohol".
They were brilliant ;D

I went to see Inglorious Basterds here and they showed 15 minutes of completely the wrong film before they noticed. Incompetent Basterds more like!! .... I will go and complain tomorrow as the delay tonight would have meant missing last orderes in my local!

BANKSY Film "Exit Through The Gift Shop", by muti on Mar 7, 2010 13:35:11 GMT 1, Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but I met up with a few forum members on Friday at the Curzon in Soho, had a cracking night.. at the end as we were leaving someone had left behind some artwork just outside the door for anyone to take, not sure if anyone on here got one, it features a Banksy Di faced tenner rolled up and a 'rat' shape made out of cocaine with a razor blade. It was numbered but no signature, just thought if anyone had clocked these and might know who they were by?

Went to see with the missus last night. 3 things I loved about this film:
1.Tierry Fu*!wit A.K.A. Mr Brainwash - you couldn't make up a character like that!
2.The lady's comment about the phonebox
3.'The Streets Tonight are Ours' by Richard Hawley, from the soundtrack (now on the i pod)
The film is full of brilliant images and moments. The counterfeit notes was hilarious...... One benefit for me was also that the missus actualkly enjoyed it and finally (almost) understands what all this urban or street art nonsence is about....
Go see it!
