Confused about Faile's Lottery, by sammyman on Jul 1, 2008 0:22:14 GMT 1, If I register for a few things on the fairq site, including a very small edition, and then a larger edition of say 29 or something, does that mean if I am selected for the edition of 29, I can't get another smaller edition piece or original?
This is kind of a bummer, because it might be kind of easy to get a larger edition, but that will screw your chances to get a smaller edition, if I understand this right. Can someone explain?

Confused about Faile's Lottery, by stillborncrisps on Jul 1, 2008 0:26:17 GMT 1, I think it means if you won the 1/29 lottery AND a 1/10 lottery you can pick which ONE you want from those two lotteries.
They'll probably email you saying you've won X/29, Y/10 and Z/8 - which ONE do you want.

Confused about Faile's Lottery, by sammyman on Jul 1, 2008 0:28:33 GMT 1, Really, I thought it meant 1 piece, and that is it. So you would be disqualified for the others. But you are saying, you have a chance at both, and can only choose the one...
What if someone backed out of a low edition and you were second in line, but you thought you didn't win it so you purchased the higher edition one... I guess you are disqualified at that point maybe?

Well that's the way I read it.
They must do it systematically, emailing one person at a time, making sure the first person who has a choice makes his choice before telling the next person that they've even won.
I guess Fair-Q is used to sorting this sort of problem out?

Confused about Faile's Lottery, by Deleted on Jul 1, 2008 0:41:37 GMT 1, You'll have a choice. In the unlikely scenario that you win multiple lotteries, Faile will work with you to get the one you want. They will then pick another winner to replace your spot on the other lottery(ies)

Confused about Faile's Lottery, by thesewalls on Jul 1, 2008 0:59:57 GMT 1, you have the option to buy ONE thing from Faile, at best. each 'Q' is a separate lottery, and you have the chance at winning each one. most people won't win anything. if you do happen to win (be it 1 or 8, originals or not), you will have to pick just one of them to actually purchase. as far as the second chance offers go...well...if you already won something, you will not be considered. don't worry, they wouldn't do that to you as POW used to state (and may still) - they're not a bunch of cowboys. these people are professionals. haha, but they're only human!
