new De Feo prints from the Aldrich Museum, by theflowerguy on Oct 15, 2008 16:47:32 GMT 1, Dear Friends,
I'd like to cordially invite each of you to join me at the 11th annual Editions/Artists' Book Fair (E/AB), where 64 contemporary art dealers and publishers from six countries will present thousands of art works to the viewing public. Located inside the Tunnel, the former nightclub will be transformed from October 30 to November 2 into an exhibition of contemporary prints, multiples, and artists' book by the world's leading artists.
The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum is participating and will be exclusively featuring my new eight color self portrait silk screened print as part of their Aldrich Editions series. The museum paired me with master printmaker, Gary Lichtenstein, and together we printed the edition of 50 last summer (along with a special edition of 10 on antique maps on canvas).
I'm very excited to be represented at this excellent fair by The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum as well as being given the opportunity to work with Gary.
At the fair, programs of note include talks by artists Richard Tuttle and James Siena, a print-making demonstration by Mickalene Thomas and an on-site book project by Jason Polan.
E/AB was founded in 1998 by Susan Inglett of I.C. Editions and Brooke Alexander Editions as the first, free public showcase for this affordable and cutting edge art form. To subsidize the free admission, E/AB has commissioned Marcel Dzama to create a lithograph which will be available at the event.
Please view the press release for all information on special events (including a benefit for P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center)... there's a lot of great stuff happening!

The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum is now accepting pre-fair orders for both prints (see the prints and details below).
See you all at the fair!
Warmest regards,
Michael
