Three people have appeared in court charged with faking artwork by the graffiti artist Banksy.
Grant Howard, 43, from south Croydon, and Lee Parker, 44, from Eastbourne, east Sussex, are charged with conspiracy to defraud.
At City of London Magistrates' Court Vesna Grande-Howard, 32, also of south Croydon, is accused of money laundering.
All three face a charge of possessing articles for use in fraud.
They are accused of forging screen prints purporting to be by controversial 'guerilla artist' Banksy, whose art has sold for hundreds of thousands of pounds.
It is also alleged they manufactured and sold faked Vivienne Westwood clothing.
The accused are due before Southwark Crown Court on 18 August.

They were buying genuine banksy's to get the genuine provenance. they then faked the print and copied the provenance so it all seemed above board when selling.
i only queried when the unsigned gansta rat was the wrong edition size.
i mean of all the bloody things to get yourself caught!

So were they faking Pest Control COAs? 
That is really worrying, as there could still be prints out there that aren't real but which people believe have provenance. 
Better reason than ever to go via reputable sellers on this forum, rather than ebay.

Chances of court being made up of persons who'd been victims is as you know quite small - in that they'd fail to meet the pre reqs.
It's taken quite a while to come to court - not sure if it'll make the telly given there's a show of work on at the same time in brizzle...
Without wishing to pass sentence on the presumed innocent at this stage it looks like evidence gathering may have yielded potentially something larger than first envisaged in which case the case might actually be quite something out of the ordinary.. but then that(cough) is a bit of speculation for you...
