Affordable Art Fair , by Martin M on Sept 23, 2010 11:39:40 GMT 1, We go every year to the preview night which is a really good night, now its in Battersea Park its a really nice venue. Usual free drinks and good atmosphere. Lots of art to look at that is really affordable. A lot of the other art fair mob used to laugh at AAF in its early days, but i think its come an awfull long way. Its easy to get preview tickets from the participating galleries, just drop them a mail.

Affordable Art Fair , by jusdeep on Sept 23, 2010 11:56:54 GMT 1, It's a great night/day out. I've been going for 3 years or so now and as Martin says just get in touch with any gallery and they will sort you out with free tickets. Art ranges from £50-£3000, a wide selection of artists and styles which rotate for the 2 yearly shows. The show is also constantly changing, when pieces sell they can be taken and are replaced with different art, so if there is an artist you're interested in speak to the relevant gallery as there are usually other pieces available.

Yeah there is a lot of very unchallenging art there. But mixed in with that are some gems. Its worth a visit but I wouldn't pay to get in.

Affordable Art Fair , by recycle on Oct 21, 2010 0:03:02 GMT 1, Th AAF has always made me laugh, yes it is very affordable for customers to go there, but for a new emerging artist or gallery it is near on impossible. My mate and i looked into sharing a stand and exhibiting our stuff last year and it worked out to be something like 7k for a small stand, not very affordable if you ask me lol.......

Affordable Art Fair , by andrewd on Oct 21, 2010 9:16:10 GMT 1, They used to send me free tickets but they've stopped freebies now. There'a a lot of park railings art but the occasional piece of interest. Highlight was a couple of years ago meeting Matt Small who was with a mate who had stall there.

Affordable Art Fair , by shakey1181 on Oct 25, 2010 8:33:06 GMT 1, Went to this on saturday and was quite disappointed. It was £15 to get in and the place was properly rammed. Couldn't really spend a great deal of time looking at the stands as there were constantly people trying to get through. The art was mainly alright IMO, there were some stand out pieces, but they were waaaay out of my price range. I was pretty much priced out of buying anything and there wasn't much going for less than £1,000 that I'd have been interested in. Not so much affordable art, but i guess that depends on your income. not for me certainly. I'd estimate that 80-90% of the stuff there was between £1,000 and the £3,000 limit. Wouldn't go again unless i'd won the lottery.

Affordable Art Fair , by planetzero on Nov 1, 2010 8:37:42 GMT 1, I went to the AAF in Amsterdam yesterday. I wasn't disappointed, very nice location (gashouder, westerpark). but too busy for me. Next time i'd go on a weekday. And indeed not that affordable for me too. Same as in London, mostly between €1000 and €3000. But for sure no regrets on going. nicole, liked the ASA stand. Especially Michan's monkey.

Affordable Art Fair , by edcase on Mar 4, 2011 13:07:54 GMT 1,
Following an extremely successful inaugural showing at the spring 2010 Affordable Art Fair in London, we return this year with fresh eyes and sophomore knowledge, not to mention two extremely exciting new artists on our roster. (You can see the fantastic illustrative work of Elizabeth Eamer on the invitation, attached.)
We have some stunning new original works from all of our artists, including a diamond dust edition of Mark Webber’s London Map, hand-finished gold leaf prints from Lee Baker, a gravure print from Joe Loughborough (printed by Thumbprint Editions of Hirst/Kapoor fame), a screenprint edition of the Jamie Shaw painting used for the recent Joanna Newsom album cover and stunning new paintings from Katrin Fridriks.
As exhibitors we have a small allocation of complimentary invites to both the charity private view on Wednesday, March 9th and the late evening drinks reception view on Thursday, March 10th.
To be in with a chance of winning a ticket, 'like' our Facebook page here: www.facebook.com/thefuturetense and DM me with your real name. We will pick winners at random from valid entries on Monday.
Each ticket allows entry for two people, so please feel free to bring somebody with you. We will also have complimentary drinks on our stand F6 courtesy of Courvoisier. (We are located in the dead centre of the venue next to the wine bar)
Finally if you are unable to attend the evening events but would like to attend the art fair at some other point, we do have half-price ticket vouchers available that we can send via e-mail, so if this is of interest again DM me.
Hope to see you there.
Kind regards,
Ed

Affordable Art Fair , by tobaum on Mar 14, 2011 11:19:23 GMT 1, Caroline from the French Arts Studio is very nice. I bought a large Jef Aerosol last year and I really appreciate the transaction. Very smooth, very easy. She delivered the piece herself at night. She still have some pieces from Jef's solo show at Signal Gallery and some nice cardboards. Worth the look! And her stand at the AAF Brussels was amazing with the live painting.
